What To Expect

This is a tour to take you deep into the Demiliratized Zone (DMZ), just a few miles from North Korean territory, to discover more about Korea's turbulent past. Despite its name, the DMZ is the area between two of the most heavily armed frontiers on earth. This no man's land is remarkably safe for tourists (and even world leaders) to visit, but is only accessible via group tours. Your guide will relate the fascinating history surrounding the area as you visit historical sites: war relics at Imjingak Park, Freedom Bridge across which almost 13,000 Korean POWs walked to freedom, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel - an invasion route built beneath the border, the DMZ exhibition theater, and views of North Korea from atop the Dora Observatory.

we were picked up 12mins before out scheduled time, which was great because we waited early. the tour was ok. the ginseng tour was unnecessary. lunch was very late.

Great experience! You get to go to the (last) train station going to Pyeongyang. Prepare yourself as the walk to the inside of the Third Tunnel was really exhausting/tiring, but it was nice to know the story behind it. Chloe was very nice, informative, and easy to talk to. She knows how to handle the group and the pace. The lunch was nice too! Unlimited side dishes of course. I ordered the Beef Stew which tasted good :)

Very little time at each attraction and always being rushed. The one place we spent the most time on was ginseng souvenir shop which is ridiculous. Tour guide was helpful though in getting us a good photo shoot - she tried hard. Lunch is last, so if you don't have lunch with the group you can leave a bit earlier.

The tour was amazing. You get to see part of north korea. We were picked up at our accomodation and dropped where we had lunch. The lunch was also good and the serving was lots. The downside of it though is that you are mostly on a rush in each location. Other than that, it was great.

The tour was very informative. I learned a lot about North Kore. Our guide (Dora) was also very nice and helpful. The lunch was served after the tour and it was good too.

We followed instruction and wait at the pick up location. We were panic when we didn’t see the bus and make a call and was told the bus will be late. Overall the visit was a good one and most of the travelers followed closely to the time given by the guide. Is a good learning experience as the guide shared on some of the history. The lunch was good too. Wanted to share more pic but was limited by the capacity

Interesting tour. Tour guide Katie shared a brief history on the Korean War. Pit stop especially at the first station is short. 15mins for tour guide to get tickets. Have to walk really fast to see all sights. Tunnel walk was interesting. Suitable for younger people. Folks 60 and requires more time, which is a little bit insufficient (45mins given only). Dorasan station not too bad too. Ginseng factory rather interesting. Tour guide does not hard sell which is good! however, could have skip ginseng factory and allocate more time to dmz. Klook to note

We received an email on 19 may that our tour on 22nd may was cancelled because it was a public holiday. W were given a choice of changing to 23rd or 24th, or refund. As we are flying off on 23rd, we could only request for a refund. However, there was no follow-up to our replies to their first email. An acknowledgement to our choice for refund would be appreciated. I am still waiting for their response on whether our refund is being processed. Also, this public holiday is not declared out of the blue. Shouldn't the tour operator already know this and make 22nd may unavailable for booking? Then we would have chosen another date for the DMZ tour. It was a huge disappointment for us. To summarise, two stars as the solutions offered were sound, but no follow-up after we replied and I still find it ridiculous and they only realised it's a public holiday 3 days before the tour.

It was rich in history. Tour was well organized. Must try when in Korea.
