- This tour involves a considerable amount of walking and stairs. Please make sure you are fit enough to participate

- The following items are prohibited: Guns, alcohol, drugs or illegal substances
- Walking distance of the tour: 400 m. Tours are leisurely paced and seating is provided in designated areas
- Cell phones must be silenced and muted during the entire tour
- Please note that it is advisable to not take a taxi or Uber to Laura Plantation, as the venue is located outside of these car service areas. The best way to reach the site is by car as the venue is located in a rural area
- Visitors are asked to stay with the tour guide at all times
- Small, umbrella strollers are permitted when group sizes are small
- Service animals with valid identification are allowed
- Bottled drinks are permitted as long as the bottle cap remains screwed tight inside of the house and slave quarters
- Picnic and concessions are permitted at designated tables near the parking lot and the gift shop
- Prohibited actions: Picking flowers, fruits, vegetables, or nuts onsite
- Written translations are available in French, Spanish, Italian & German
- Hearing assistance: Visitors may ask for a written transcript to borrow during the tour
- Still photography for personal use is allowed during the tour
- Personal items: Handbags and backpacks are not allowed (Includes camera bags, diaper bags. etc.)
- Tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited. Backpacks and motorcycle helmets may be checked in at the front desk (Please ask for a claim ticket)
- The tour runs rain or shine
- Accessibility: Only the ground floor of the main house (The basement) is wheelchair-accessible
- Equipment: Guests must bring their own wheelchairs or walkers (The venue does not provide wheelchairs)
- The gift shop and restrooms are fully wheelchair accessible via ramps. Grounds pathways consist of brick or gravel
- The main house requires climbing 15 steps (There are no elevators or ramps) & the slave cabin requires 3 steps
- Companions of visitors who are disabled must be able to carry the equipment up the stars if mobility aids are required on the upper floors
- Closed on: New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Last tour is at 12:00 for 4 July 2026 & 24 December 2026

- Participants who appear intoxicated may be refused service. In this case, no refunds will be given
- Outside food and drinks are not allowed
- Smoking and drinking is not allowed. You will immediately be asked to leave if caught by a staff member
- Please dress accordingly depending on the day's weather conditions
- Videography is/are strictly prohibited inside the attraction
- Pets are prohibited
