This is a great place to learn about Osaka's history, though it primarily focuses on history from the Asuka period onward, with much less mention of earlier periods. It's worth noting that one floor is dedicated to archaeological excavation work, offering an educational experience for both adults and children!

However, there are few places in the venue where photography is allowed. It's a good spot to relax and sightsee after visiting the nearby Tenshukaku (castle tower). The historical and cultural information is very detailed, though the historical accounts are one-sided (which is normal, as every country's museum will have similar issues). This museum offers an excellent experience, especially for seniors, children, and those with limited stamina, as there are plenty of benches for resting. I highly recommend visiting.

the museum is gorgeous, very organised and well maintained. you have to purchase audio translation because pretty much everything is in Japanese however this audio is very cheap just 400 yen per person. Amazing views to the Osaka castle from here as well

You can see the history of Osaka from ancient times to the modern era. Osaka Castle is also conveniently located right next door. The building itself is also very clean.

It was great to visit, starting from the 10th floor and working my way down, especially as a way to escape the heat. There are also some Korean explanations available.

Very good museum, even better if you have a local guide who speaks Portuguese.
