SPA 1978 (Formerly SPA 1899) DONGINBI Red Ginseng Ritual & Therapy

The spa is really far away given I’m going from Myeongdong. First I thought it’s run by the ginseng brand but looks like it’s just a high end spa using the red ginseng products. Unlike Sulwhasoo product which I can obviously smell the ginseng flavour of their ginseng series, I don’t smell a strong ginseng scent during the facial. The package includes face and upper body massage, it was pretty good overall, but not the best massage so had. The time spent on body massage is more but personally I like face massage better. anyway. I good experience to try spa/facial in Seoul the beauty state and if you are near Gabgnam area.

The location is a bit hard to find, but the shop is comfortable, and the masseuses' skills and service are excellent. After the service, healthy tea, snacks and refreshments are provided.

The facial left my skin feeling incredibly soft, hydrated and glowing. The therapist’s techniques were gentle yet effective, melting away any tension I had. I felt completely refreshed and pampered by the end of the session. Highly recommend this spa for anyone looking to unwind and treat themselves to some much-needed self-care!

It's very convenient to walk to the subway station in about ten minutes. The staff is friendly and polite, the massage is very comfortable, and the treatment is full of ginseng flavor. I will be willing to visit again.

So worth it! The experience was amazing. The technique was very professional, even the scalp care. During the shampoo, the professional use of the fingertips almost made me think they were using a tool. I almost fell asleep while they were pressing. I will come again next time.

It was so relaxing. The body massage wasn’t rough or anything which was nice. The person who attended me was also so sweet and attentive.

100% would recommend again! my therapist was great, caring, and knew exactly where to apply the most pressure in my shoulder area. I booked the facial focus but she did some light pressure on my legs, hands/arms and also harder pressure on my neck / shoulders. I wish I booked for longer high recommend

The 3-hour experience was very satisfying. The technicians were skilled, and you could feel their dedication throughout the entire process. They went all out to provide excellent service. If you have the time, I recommend trying it out. After completion, there was also a small gift ornament, and there was absolutely no hard selling of any products or services. Thumbs up!

So relaxing and comfortable. I took my wife here for her birthday and we have a lovely time. Everything was totally worth it and something we would love to do again.
