Miyakojima: Small-group Sunrise or Sunset SUP tour (English tour)

The temperature at sunrise was very comfortable, and we could see the sky change through many colors. Plus, there was almost no one around at that time, so we had the beach all to ourselves! Ken was amazing; he helped us find so many sea turtles here. They swim incredibly fast, and we probably wouldn't have encountered any on our own, so it's a good thing Ken was with us! Highly recommend! He even waited for us to finish changing and showering after the tour before leaving, which was very thoughtful.

I had a great time paddleboarding with Ken as my guide. It was my first time, so I was a little nervous, but the instructor was kind and explained everything in detail from start to finish, so I quickly got the hang of it. They continuously paid attention to our safety, which made me feel secure throughout the experience. What impressed me most was how many photos they took. They captured the beautiful Miyakojima sea from various angles, creating memories I'll cherish forever. The photo quality was also excellent, which I was very satisfied with. One of the highlights of my trip to Miyakojima! Ken was incredibly responsive, friendly, and patient throughout the entire experience. Since it was my first time trying SUP, he explained everything in detail, started slowly, and gave helpful tips that made me feel comfortable enough to try standing! The area we were in was perfect for beginners and probably advanced riders too! The water was clear and we even spotted a stingray, which made the experience even more memorable. I’ve visited Miyakojima several times, and it can be hard to find high-quality excursions with English speaking guides, so this experience stood out even more. I did the tour solo and felt completely comfortable the entire time. Ken also took amazing photos that I’ll treasure from my trip. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Miyakojima. I’ll definitely be back for another excursion!

The sunset SUP was very enjoyable and easy to pick up; it was a lot of fun. My friends even saw sea turtles, and the instructor was very enthusiastic. I recommend choosing the pick-up and drop-off service, as that beach is quite remote.

I had only snorkeled in Miyakojima before, so I booked a sunset SUP experience. After booking, I quickly received an email with instructions, and we communicated via KakaoTalk. I felt reassured and found it easy to prepare because they provided information about the location and what to bring in advance. They also kindly provided instructions in English, allowing me and my companions to understand the explanations and enjoy the experience safely. Due to a typhoon, we couldn't go to Nishihama, where it's usually held, and were told it would be at Imgya Marine Garden. However, since I had frequently snorkeled at Imgya Marine Garden, I mentioned I wanted to try a different beach. They actively looked into it and recommended a wonderful, new beach for us to try! I was also grateful that they made an effort to capture great photos of our beautiful moments. It was difficult to stay in the desired spot due to the wind, but they patiently waited, allowing all my friends to gather and take pictures. It was also nice that they waited for us to slowly try out the SUP. Before the sun completely set, I even lay down on the board, and it was a truly peaceful moment. It was perfect for enjoying the sunset. It was so much fun! 😆

It was a perfect healing experience. As I sat on the blue waves, gazing at the red sunset, the worries and anxieties that had accumulated over the years miraculously disappeared. It was an overwhelming tranquility that made me forget even myself. Our wonderful guide, Ken, thoughtfully made sure I could comfortably experience the ocean. He was so energetic and cheerful that he even fell into the water himself while teaching me how to safely handle the waves. Most importantly, thanks to his continuous efforts to keep me safe, I was able to close my eyes and even fall asleep for a while amidst the sunset scenery. Thank you, Ken. If you come to Miyako Island, you absolutely must try this experience.

We were beginners, and it was our first time trying SUP. We were a bit nervous at first, but our fears quickly disappeared because Kento was very patient and guided us step-by-step, always with a big smile and a lot of confidence. By the end of the tour, we were doing great. The price is fair. The excursion lasted about an hour and a half, until sunset. We took photos; the only downside was that there were clouds right at sunset, so we couldn't fully appreciate it. We lay on the board for a few minutes and just relaxed. The views are incredible, definitely one of the best moments of our honeymoon.

Ken-san was incredibly friendly and gentle, and there were absolutely no issues communicating in English! Because of a typhoon, the ocean conditions were poor, but Ken immediately contacted us regarding the location and time. After we got into the water, he continuously guided us with great care and shared interesting tidbits about Miyakojima, making our experience very relaxing and fun. He also took many beautiful photos for us. We are very grateful to Ken-san, and we will definitely book with him again next time we visit. If you are a Taiwanese traveler looking to experience SUP on the ocean, you should book with him directly!
