• All bikes are well-maintained and safety-checked, helmets are provided and mandatory under NZ law, and a full safety briefing and bike check are conducted before departure
• This is a self-guided experience; you will be professionally briefed and fitted to your bike
• There are a vast number of wineries to visit along the ride. It is suggested to plan your winery visits before arrival
• Guests should wear activewear suitable for changing weather, including padded cycling shorts, gloves, layered clothing with a waterproof jacket, and bring essentials such as sunscreen, water, and snacks, with refill points and cafes available along the trails
• This experience is designed for all fitness and experience levels; the operator's premium e-bikes make the ride smooth and enjoyable, even if you haven’t cycled in years
• Most guests complete the route in 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on how many stops you make along the way
• While the winery stops are a highlight, it’s completely optional to drink, you can choose a non-alcoholic beverage or simply enjoy the beautiful views and food offerings at the wineries
• The operator ride in most conditions, but safety comes first. If the weather is unsafe for riding, the operator will work with you to reschedule or provide alternative options
• Children aged 9 and over who are confident riders can participate on their own e-bike
• Riders must keep left, pass carefully with clear communication, give way to pedestrians and uphill riders, and stay on marked trails while riding at a safe, controllable speed at all times
• Riders should check weather conditions in advance as Central Otago weather can change quickly, and they must be confident riding on gravel trails while safely managing speed, especially on downhill sections, with alternate routes or postponement possible in adverse conditions
• Not suitable for visually impaired people and babies under 1 year
