My kids (10 & 12) really enjoyed this intro to Manga! It was perfect for both my novice artist kiddo and experienced artist. The instructor was patient and helpful. They got to take home what they made.
Awesome spot! My second time here and this time I got to meet the mangaka teacher who even showed me some of his work towards the end! I was very glad to meet him and enjoyed it here as much as the last time!
Mrs.Akiha was very kind and an awesome person to speak too! She was very friendly and I loved the whole experience! I can’t wait to go back again!
we showed up 5 minutes late but would have liked to get more instruction on different drawing styles and ways to hold the pencils and markers. we spent too much time on etching out shades with a small knife. the overall experience was average and I didn’t feel like it was worth the money but the instructor was very nice.
This was a very good experience! I loved learning the drawing techniques and the process of making art. I wish we learned to make a short book and how the manga art style works.
Honestly shocked by this horrible experience. My 3 teen boys were so excited to take what was advertised as a manga drawing class. We changed our entire schedule for this. We were 8 mins late due to our uber and it was a little hard to find. Before even welcoming us, we were told that 10 mins would be deducted from class time. There was nobody else in the class…shocked they weren’t more understanding. The boys were given pre printed cat templates to trace, then used razors to cut paper around the outlines. After that, they were told to draw whatever they wanted during “free time.” There was no instruction on manga techniques, no teaching of drawing, and weren’t allowed to use the ink on the table. When I expressed my confusion about the lack of drawing instruction, I was told that the class description didn’t mention drawing. I read the it to them, and it clearly did. Shocked they even disputing that. Total scam. Huge waste of time and money and disappointed kids!!
