Paul took great care of us – providing warm drinks, snacks. He helped everyone with taking professional pictures with his camera (I got some amazing shots on my phone as well!), and his enthusiasm kept spirits high all night. If you’re heading out to hunt the aurora, book a tour with Paul – he’s dedicated, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile to make sure you see the lights. Highly recommend! 10/10 would do again.
Paul was the best guide of my life. He picked us up right in front of our accommodation, which made for a very comfortable journey. Even though it was a cloudy day with low solar activity, Paul didn't give up and found the best spot by crossing the Swedish border. Even on a day when the aurora wasn't clearly visible, Paul took many wonderful photos for us. I was very satisfied that we could also get some beautiful honeymoon pictures! And we found a spot with a perfectly clear sky, where the moon was bright and there were so many stars; it was truly an enchanting night. Most importantly, thanks to our kind and passionate guide, I felt that going on the aurora hunt was an excellent decision. If we had just vaguely waited for the aurora to appear on our own, it would have been difficult, but thanks to the tour, we were able to see the aurora in Finland and had a great time. It was a truly satisfying tour. Thank you.
The weather was bad the morning before departure, and it was cold and freezing in the evening. Fortunately, we saw a bit of the aurora, although it wasn't a major display, we were still lucky.
experienced and professional guide makes this aurora hunt more meaningful. Paul really provided his passion and professional to help you hunt the auroras. We finally spotted the aurora by this tour. highly recommended this tour with photography plan as he will help you to take the memorable photos under aurora.
we had a private tour with Paul and he took us to two places to capture the northern lights. very friendly person. The night was rather cloudy, but he managed to capture some nice photos for us!
We joined the aurora hunting tour last night. At first, it seemed impossible to see anything because it was cloudy and foggy all night—I honestly gave up hope. But Paul was so dedicated and never gave up. He drove for a long time, seriously searching for clear skies, and even took us all the way to Sweden! In the end, we really got to see the northern lights. I’m so thankful to him. If you’re planning to go aurora hunting, you must book with this guide!
A must do while in Lapland! Having traveled a long way to Finland, it certainly is a priority for us to see the northern lights. While we booked a hotel at a slightly more remote location to avoid the light polution in the city, we were really grateful that we decided to go on this private aurora hunting tour with Paul. I doubt I'll be able to see the northern lights had I not gone on his tour. He was very knowledgable (and apparently VERY well educated) and seemed very sincere in making sure we had a good experience. He was very friendly and communicative as well, both through email and whatsapp too. After he helped us in taking plenty of pictures, as we were driving back to the hotel, Paul suddenly slowed down because there was another wave of aurora. He found a place to park, and asked us to take more pictures. After that, he almost stopped again but unfortunately the light was too weak. It seems that he might actually be more eager to find the northern lights than us!
We had a great experience with this Northern Lights private tour. The guide was very kind, friendly, and generous he even offered us free drinks and chocolate, which was a nice touch. Although the solar activity was low that night, he didn’t give up and put in a lot of effort to find the best possible viewing spots. You could really feel his dedication and passion for giving us the best experience. Highly recommended!
Paul is a very kind and friendly guide. Although it was cloudy that day and difficult to see the aurora, he was still very proactive in helping us find it, and finally succeeded! He not only provided us with chocolate, but also drove to our hotel to pick us up and drop us off. The 5-hour private tour was very fulfilling!
This tour was absolutely amazing and became the best memory of my entire trip to Finland. Everything was very well organized, from transportation to timing breaks, so even in the extreme cold we were able to enjoy the experience comfortably. I especially want to thank the guide for taking such beautiful photos for us. Thanks to him support, we have incredible pictures that perfectly capture this unforgettable moment, and we truly appreciate the effort and care. Seeing the aurora in the quiet Finnish nature was beyond words — a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget. The guide was kind, professional, and made us feel safe and relaxed throughout the tour. If you are visiting Finland and thinking about joining an aurora tour, I highly recommend this one. Please don’t hesitate to join — it will definitely become a highlight of your trip. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience! 本当にこのツアーに参加してよかったです。 心からお勧めします。素敵な体験をありがとうございます!
Good to know
Here’s a polished and guest-friendly version:
- For Aurora photography, long-exposure shots are required, so you’ll need to remain steady and patient while capturing the lights.
- Be prepared for Lapland’s extreme winter conditions — temperatures can drop as low as –30°C, so dress warmly and layer up for comfort.
