What to expect
"The Beginning of The Moomins" invites you to revisit the inaugural story of the Moomin series, created by Finnish-Swedish author Tove Jansson 80 years ago. Running from November 14 to January 4 at Level 4, Kai Tak Mall 2, this exhibition invites everyone to embark on an adventure with the Moomin family!
Celebrating Moomin's 80th anniversary, the exhibition immerses fans in the enchanting world of the very first story, ''The Moomins and the Great Flood''. In this tale, Moominmamma takes little Moomintroll on a journey to find his missing father. They traverse a mysterious dark forest, encountering all sorts of peculiar and fascinating creatures. Along the way, they befriend the timid little creature Sniff, meet a solitary old gentleman, and even discover a house made of candy. Suddenly, heavy rain pours down, and a great flood sweeps through, leaving Moomintroll and his friends adrift on the water—launching a thrilling adventure!
Join us in this exhilarating journey with the Moomins, and witness how the family finally land in Moominvalley and uncover the Moominhouse, the iconic centrepiece of our 80th-anniversary celebrations!

Admission Guidelines：
• Please arrive on time according to your scheduled visit date. • Pair Admission Ticket is conditional on both ticker holders entering the venue simultaneously. • Concession Tickets are reserved solely for children (under 91cm in height), seniors (60+), students, and persons with disabilities. Presentation of valid proof of eligibility is mandatory for entry. • Each ticketed child (under 91cm in height) shall require accompaniment by a separate paying adult (aged 18 or over). • Customers who purchase a ticket shall be entitled to a complimentary gift upon presentation of the QR code at the exhibition entrance. • Each QR code shall be valid solely for a one-time admission. • Photography, audio recording, and video recording are not permitted in all areas of the exhibition. Please observe the regulations of each exhibition area and respect the intellectual property rights and copyrights of the artists and their works. • Please follow the exhibition rules, observe the visiting order, and maintain the visiting quality together. • Eating and drinking are prohibited in the exhibition hall.
