- "Qingdao on the Sea" takes the century-old port city on the coast of the Yellow Sea as the backdrop, and uses immersive stage language to weave the thousand-year bond between Qingdao and the ocean. The performance combines real-life light and shadow with multimedia technology, bringing the morning mist of the pier, the red tiles of Badaguan, and the sound of waves in the May Fourth Square into the theater, allowing the audience to travel through time and space - from the swaying fishing fires of ancient fishing ports to the ocean-going sails of modern sailing ships; from the exotic style of German-style architecture to the neon lights of modern port cities

I usually don't leave reviews, but wow... I think this is the best possible outcome when China's capital and technological might meet a human wave attack. The performance itself is at a high school freshman level, but you're not going to see the performance; you're going to see the stage sets and effects. First, the venue is relatively out of the way, but once you see the show, you'll completely understand why. Definitely watch it from 360 degrees. It's great for elementary school boys or elderly parents. However, since you'll be watching the show with Chinese people, well... yes, there are moments, but it's hard to find a show of this caliber for this price. Since it's outdoors, a windbreaker was absolutely necessary today (as of late May).
The performance was satisfying for the price. Instead of Google Maps, use Zhonggu Map (Gaode Map) and the Gaode Map taxi app to easily find the venue. It was difficult to find the address on Gaode Map because Klook only provided the Korean address (I couldn't find the location on the map, so I couldn't call a taxi). The address is No. 1611 Yinshatan Road, Huangdao, Qingdao, Shandong.
must see in qingdao. although the show is in chinese, the production and special effects were superb.
Great show with stunning effects! you’ll be visually impressed by the performance. highly recommend if you have the time as the place is quite far from the city.
If you go to Qingdao, you absolutely have to see this! Don't worry about failing just because there aren't any blog or YouTube reviews; just check this out before you go. Buy the one written in 360 degrees and read that version. It's worth 10 times the ticket price!
the show is okay but not a must. I was in town for a week, so it was worthwhile.
It took about 1 hour and 10 minutes from MixC. It seemed to take longer because I went during the beer festival. There are 180-degree and 360-degree seats, but most were 360-degree. I chose 180-degree, but 360-degree probably would have been better. They used a lot of fireworks. When we left, there were several taxis waiting, so there was no need to book a Didi for the return trip. It's probably worth seeing once.
