What to expect
【Katsuoji Temple】 The biggest feature of Katsuoji Temple is the “Katsun Daruma” (Victory Daruma) scattered all over the mountains. People come here to pray, and after making a wish, they offer a Daruma doll with one eye painted on it to the temple. If the wish comes true, they return to paint the other eye, signifying the fulfillment of their desire. Thousands of Daruma dolls are spread across the stone steps, by the ponds, and around the buildings, creating a truly stunning and powerful sight. 【Kiyomizu-dera Temple】 Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a representative Kyoto attraction that combines the beauty of history, nature, and culture. Whether it’s for sightseeing, praying, taking photos, or experiencing tradition, visitors can have a rich experience. 【Arashiyama】 Arashiyama is Kyoto’s most iconic tourist destination. In Arashiyama, you can walk across Togetsukyo Bridge to enjoy the scenery, stroll through the bamboo forest path, visit the World Heritage site Tenryu-ji Temple, savor matcha and local delicacies, and rent a bicycle to leisurely explore the Katsura River. It is a must-visit Kyoto attraction that combines nature, food, and culture.

Reviews
This was an excellent experience! We were able to visit three Kyoto attractions all at once. The meeting point was easy to find, and we departed right on time. Both the tour guide and driver were very polite and friendly, and they shared information about Japan and its culture with us. Overall, this trip was definitely worth it. I will certainly sign up again next time I visit Osaka! 👍👍👍🇯🇵⛩️
Our tour guide, Yuzu, provided a very detailed and lively introduction, and also shared many interesting local stories. They were also very considerate in helping us take photos to commemorate the trip. Even though we didn't order a meal, they were very enthusiastic in recommending delicious restaurants. Overall, the service was very attentive and the travel experience was very enjoyable. Katsuo-ji Temple, filled with Daruma dolls, is very eye-catching and interesting, with a unique atmosphere. Even just the outer streets of Kiyomizu-dera Temple are great to stroll around. Remember to set aside some time to write a Goshuin inside the temple, it's a very memorable experience. The antique scenery of Arashiyama is breathtaking. Taking a rickshaw deep into the bamboo forest secret path is really worth experiencing once!
Thank you to tour guide Xiao Zhao for the explanation. Taking a one-day tour is great because when you're tired from walking a lot on a self-guided trip, you can briefly rest in the car, then get out and explore to recharge. Kyoto summers are really hot, so it's wonderful to have air conditioning in the car until we reach our destination! I'll choose this again next time!
This time, I traveled with seniors and children, and I was initially worried it might be too tiring, but it turned out to be okay. We had plenty of time at Katsuoji Temple. I was worried the seniors wouldn't be able to walk the whole way, but we even had time to shop! Kiyomizu-dera Temple felt a bit rushed, but if you just go up to pray and grab a snack, there's enough time. We just skipped Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka. I had originally planned for us not to get off the bus in Arashiyama so the seniors could rest, as the first two temples were quite a walk. However, it turned out we could have gotten off and walked, but since we didn't like the rain, we chose to stay on the bus. Our guide (Rina Utsumi 🍒) and the driver were also very friendly. This is my second time on this type of tour. It's great to join a tour like this when traveling independently, as it saves the inconvenience of public transport, and you can comfortably sleep on the bus 💤 without worrying about missing your stop.
the timing and time allocation was just right. the guide was friendly and took care of us along the way. it was an enjoyable trip at ease.
The day trip was very enjoyable and our tour guide was very familiar with the history of Japan. now we know a lot more of the background of the area we visited.
Highly recommended! You can visit three must-see Kyoto attractions in one day.
A very fulfilling day trip. The timing was well-planned, allowing approximately 2 hours at each attraction, which wasn't too rushed. The tour guide, Miss Xie, was very friendly and recommended many delicious foods, which was great. Katsuoji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Arashiyama are all worth visiting. Highly recommended!
The itinerary was excellent, and the driver was very steady and safe. 😂 It was great! I'll bring my family back for another trip next time, as we had a lot of fun and didn't get too tired.
The meeting point was easy to find, and the tour guide spoke Chinese. The recommended photo spots and food were excellent. Most importantly, it saved us time and effort, and we could sleep on the bus after the tour, which was fantastic! 👍
