What to expect
Maybe Happy Ending invites audiences into a tender, whimsical world where the ordinary meets the extraordinary through an unexpected bond between two outdated helper robots. Set in a near-future Seoul, the musical explores love, memory, and what it means to feel truly alive—even for machines. Inspired by a line from Damon Albarn’s “Everyday Robots,” co-creator Hue Park imagined a world of human-like robots abandoned in a digital age. Premiering in Seoul in 2016 to critical acclaim, the story now finds new life on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre, opening November 12, 2024. With heartfelt performances and imaginative storytelling, Maybe Happy Ending is a touching journey of connection, discovery, and the enduring spark of hope.

Booking through Klook was an incredibly seamless experience from start to finish. The instant confirmation provided peace of mind, and redeeming the voucher at the venue was as simple as showing a QR code on my phone, allowing me to bypass the long ticket lines entirely. Not only was the platform user-friendly, but the price was also more competitive than buying on-site. The instructions provided were clear and accurate, making the entire process stress-free and efficient. I would highly recommend using this service for anyone looking to save time and money on their next activity.
An amazing musical! The music is fantastic, and the theme is novel and modern! It deserves to be last year's Tony Award winner. The seats allocated through Klook were great, and the theater is beautiful, very retro and exquisite.
The story itself isn't new; the robot setting is merely a re-skinning of human themes. However, the aesthetically rich presentation gives the work a fresh appeal. The casting is exceptionally clever: if only the male and female leads were on stage throughout, the visual would inevitably be monotonous and sparse. But by materializing the presence of the vinyl record singer, allowing this fourth cast member to connect all other characters while also playing the piano, the visual interest of the entire stage doubles. The unique stage design maximizes the charm of electronic screens: over a dozen electronic screens repeatedly cut, enlarge, and shrink the stage view, adjust brightness, and showcase a high-tech sense of space and light-and-shadow aesthetics. It's important to note that due to this special design, the seating areas in the entire theater that offer a complete visual experience are strictly limited to the middle section of the upper floor. If you sit in the front rows downstairs, it will be harder to see the stage floor than in a conventional theater, and if you sit on the sides, you'll struggle to get a full view of the male and female leads' rooms. Nevertheless, despite the viewing experience being affected by sightlines, the work's completeness and quality are impeccable, telling an ordinary story beautifully, humorously, and vividly. It's hard not to love it.
Purchase and redemption was straightforward. The email with the voucher was sent several hours after purchase. The storyline is a refreshing and bittersweet one. Although casting was lean, and the staging deceptively clean and modest, there was a lot of nuances and emotional depth brought out while exploring the theme of love and impermanence. A splendid performance and show.
