Wuhou Temple
Wuhou Temple is located at 231 Wuhouci Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, 5 kilometers from the city center and more than 20 kilometers from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. It is the only temple in the country where a ruler and his ministers are worshiped together, a national first-class museum, and a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The temple covers an area of 150,000 square meters and is known for commemorating Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, and the heroes of the Shu Han Dynasty as the “core heritage of the Three Kingdoms culture” for thousands of years. Here, red walls line the roads, ancient cypresses reach the sky, and the stele corridors are secluded. Couplets and inscriptions from the Tang, Ming, and Qing dynasties reflect the wisdom and loyalty of the sages. It is known as the “holy land of the Three Kingdoms culture and the spiritual totem of the city.” People often say, “A trip to Chengdu is incomplete without visiting Wuhou Temple,” which shows the eternal charm of the spirit of Zhuge Liang in the long river of history. The temple houses precious cultural relics such as Yue Fei’s handwritten stone inscription of the Chu Shi Biao (Memorial to the Throne) and gilded statues of Liu Bei in the main hall. The garden offers a stunning blend of architecture, gardens, and epic history. Book now through KLOOK to enjoy the best discount tickets!
