Hallstatt, Salzburg, Alps & Lakes Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

This full-day tour from Vienna was an unforgettable journey through Austria’s most iconic landscapes and history. From the stunning Wachau Valley and the magnificent Melk Abbey to the breathtaking lakes of Salzkammergut, every stop felt meaningful. Hallstatt was like stepping into a fairytale, while Salzburg offered a perfect mix of culture, music, and history. Our guide Dasha was excellent—her explanations were detailed, engaging, and added so much depth to each location. The itinerary was well-paced despite covering many highlights. A truly enriching and seamless experience I would highly recommend.

Sabrina was our tour guide for the Melk Abbey, Hallstatt, and Salzburg trip. The meeting time was 7:30 AM, and the journey started at 8:00 AM. We first visited Melk Abbey, where we had around a 30-minute break. We then continued to Hallstatt, where we got about 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore. After that, we headed to Salzburg, where we had around 2 hours. Throughout the trip, Sabrina shared a lot of interesting information about Vienna, its churches, and other historical details, which made the journey engaging. She accompanied us at Melk Abbey, although there was not much guidance inside the abbey itself. In Hallstatt, we had free time to explore on our own, without guided commentary. In Salzburg, however, we had a guide with us, which was helpful and informative. Overall, it was a good experience, though it would have been even better if we had more time at each destination.

A very well oraganized trip to Melk, Salzburg, and Hallstatt. We really enjoyed our hassle free trip to 3 destinations. Our guide Olga is very professional for giving us information and keeping us entertain the whole. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking the same convenience like us. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the journey to the beautiful destinations!

The tour is a great way to be able to visit Melk and Hallstatt from Vienna. They are places that look difficult to reach via public transport. Although the time spent in the places felt a little rushed, especially in Salzburg, the time allotment was appropriate. You really don’t need to spend more than 2 hours in Hallstatt and Melk. Our guide, Alexander was also very helpful and managed to fill the drive time providing some historical context, anecdotes and legends related to the sights we were passing by. This tour is definitely something to consider if you’re planning to seeing Melk, Hallstatt, and Salzburg, since it allows you to hit 3 spots in 1 day.

I did this trip solo and would totally recommend it to anyone who's still deciding. Visiting three landmarks in one day was definitely worth it. The schedule felt a bit rushed, especially in Hallstatt, but overall it was still a great experience. The bus was comfortable, and our guide Olgo was nice, friendly, helpful, and did a great job explaining things and keeping everyone entertained.

I arrived at the meeting point early and had a coffee at Cafe Sacher. I went to the meeting point by 7:50 AM and we departed right at 8:00 AM! The Melk Abbey, Hallstatt, and Salzburg tour was a long and far trip, but it was great! The guide explained things throughout the journey! It was a bit difficult to understand the English guide, but it was informative as they explained the history and culture of Austria in detail! The guide worked really hard all day!! The weather was great, and it's a trip that will remain as a happy memory!

This was the tour I took from Vienna to Salzburg. The guide's explanations on the bus were very detailed (translated using a translation app). It was impressive how slowly and clearly they spoke, perhaps for non-English speaking passengers. First, we stopped at a small rural village, then spent about two hours in Hallstatt. Although it was a bit gloomy due to the rain, we still enjoyed the sightseeing. Upon arriving in Salzburg, we had a city tour (the guide changed to a local here; due to the rain, we didn't tour and instead picked up our luggage and went to our accommodation). There was a restroom and water on the bus, but it seemed unused. The driver loaded and unloaded all our luggage. It was a double-decker bus, but I was on the first floor, so I didn't see much of the scenery. However, there was a phone charger, so I was able to fully charge my phone (though some seats didn't have working chargers). Overall, it was a satisfying tour, combining sightseeing and arrival in Salzburg.

it was an amazing experience. Hallstatt was my favorite from this tour. Salzburg did not disappoint as well. the bus was on time, we just experienced some delays because one of the joiners was late in coming back from the free time. couple of things to note: prepare coins for payment to toilets and bring snacks and drinks with you on your journey.
