Just wow! Vivaldi's music was really well done by the performers and plus it is played inside the church, it is more intimate. Of course, having a classical concert in the Opera House is better but this is still a 2nd option if you can't get tickets or you are on a budget. This is a really good experience. I suggest though to book the Category 1 to have a better experience seeing them closer. We were seated in Cat2 but it still far and difficult to see them. Austria is popular in Classical music and concerts so book for an experience!
The staff at the entrance had poor service attitude, basically allowing entry without checking tickets. The concert may be delayed.
I never imagined I could see a classical concert at St. Stephen's Cathedral. I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere of the cathedral, and the reverberation... it was an eargasm. The violin sound was so beautiful. Fortunately, it was a classical piece I had heard often, which made it even better! It was worth every penny...! (I may have felt that way even more because I am a Catholic.)
Set in the beautiful st Stephen’s cathedral. Rhe quintet started with 20min of Bach before the actual Vivaldi concert began.
You can enter directly with the QR code! The performance lasts about 1 hour! It's a great experience! The venue was packed! You can enjoy the show thoroughly!
Was a very good experience! Definitely worth a visit while in Budapest. Church was very grand however there was no air-conditioning and it was quite stuffy.
Was initially hesitant about whether to participate, but after entering the church... it was worth the price of admission. Definitely make time to go inside. You can immerse yourself in music while touring the church. Be aware of the time, as people start lining up to enter around 8 AM.
It was the first time I listened to a giant organ. I was shocked to find that it could play so many melodies. The interior of St. Stephen's Basilica is really magnificent, and it matches the giant organ perfectly!
What a wonderful musical feast to be able to watch a brilliant violin concerto performance in this ancient church that is almost 820 years old!
I am not a concert person, so I don't know how to judge the concert quality, but the church atmosphere is magnificent, with the music I think everyone will be enjoyed.
