[✨ Introduction to Highlights] 🌊 Yulin Grottoes Located in the Yulin River Canyon about 70 kilometers southeast of Dunhuang City, it is the sister cave of the Mogao Grottoes. There are 43 existing caves, preserving exquisite murals and painted sculptures from the Tang to Yuan dynasties. Clear springs flow in the canyon, and green trees are shaded. The murals have a rich and diverse themes, especially the artistic achievements of the Sheng Tang Dynasty in Cave 25, “Maitreya Sutra Transformation”, which is known as the “Secret Art Treasure House on the Silk Road”.

🏰 Suoyang City Located in the depths of the Gobi in Guazhou, Gansu, it was a military site in the Tang Dynasty and an important town on the Silk Road. The ancient city consists of inner and outer cities. The remaining city walls are up to 9 meters high, and the remains of official offices, temples and residential buildings can be seen in the city.

⛩️ Western Jin Tomb Located in the eastern suburbs of Dunhuang City, it is a family tomb group from the Western Jin Dynasty, with portrait brick tombs being the most distinctive. The walls of the tomb chamber are inlaid with painted bricks depicting scenes of farming, hunting, and banquets. Among them, “Li Guang Riding and Shooting Picture” and “Postman Picture” are vivid and lifelike.

🎨 Sculpture “Boundless” A large-scale public art work created by contemporary artists in the Guazhou Gobi. The pure white steel structure building is inspired by the Mogao Grottoes and Han Que. The hollow frame floats like a mirage in the vast desert.

👶 Son of the Earth Sculpture A giant baby sculpture sleeping in the Guazhou Gobi was created by a professor at Tsinghua University. The red sandstone baby is curled up in the embrace of the earth, and its 15-meter-long body is integrated with the desert.
