What To Expect

Aimed at culture vultures wanting a break from a beach bum holiday, first stop is a traditional, if slightly bizarre, Barong Dance performance. The colorful costumes, talented dancers and quirky actors will surely start your day with a smile. Browse the delicate gold and silver handcrafted jewelry at Celuk village before seeing impressive wood carpentry in action at Mas. You'll meet the artisans for a better understanding of the creative process. The journey continues to Kintamani for a local lunch facing the majestic cone of Batur Volcano and its vast crater lake. Visit Tirta Empul Temple famed for its cleansing holy springs before arriving at Gunung Kawi Royal Monument with its impressive valley views, royal tombs and hermitage caves. End the day with the most spectacular of Bali's iconic rice terrace views near Tegalalang. If you want to purchase a Balinese art piece as a memento of your day of culture, stops can be made along the way at Ubud's many galleries.

The name of the tour guide in Asia World Indonesia is Tri. Tri is one of the worst tour guides I have ever met. He is bad-mannered, impolite and inconsiderate. 1. This is a minor issue but still, poor service was given to us. There was a pocket wifi but they don't know the user name and password. 2. He insisted to skip the Wood Carving Activity in the morning itinerary without our consent. 3. This is the worst part , we should take our lunch first before going to Tirta Empul Temple & Holy Springs. Again, without our consent, he changed the itinerary by going first to the Temple & Holy Springs and later have our lunch. So at the temple, it is part of the itinerary activity to experience and dip in the Tirta Empul Temple Water. The worst word I ever heard from him is this "I will leave you if you will not follow me." During our confrontation, He allowed us to experience the underwater at the temple for only 15 minutes, and if we would not come on his given time, he will LEAVE us.

The tour is nice. We were able to learn Bali's culture.

Tour was good overall. It could have been better if the tour guide explained more about the history and context about the sights like the temples we have been to.

Our guide, Suja, was very helpful and informative. He made sure to tell us all about the places we were going to and even had a map for reference. We learned a lot about indonesian/ balinese culture because of our 2-day tour with him.

I'm getting in the car, the guide; who was wonderful btw, asked us if we were happy with itinerary, or if we'd like to change anything. We switched the gallery stores for a stop in the monkey forest. The show was amazing, the monkeys were great and good to see the investment that has gone into the park since last visit. The Titra temple is stunning. Lunch was really good, and as veggies we had lots of choice. View onto Batur is glorious. Then off to the rice terraces, they are stunning. Our guide was amazing, he knew where to pose us for great shots, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. If you want a day of culture vulturing to scrape the surface, then this tour is a great choice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour of bali!! Despite being vegetarians we had no problems in finding something to eat during the inclusive lunch.. lunch venue overlooking the mt batur volcano was a sight to behold and of course capture in our cameras.. the guide deserves a special mention.. very courteous and informative.. he was even informed about our country, India! he tried to give us the best experience he could... all in all a wonderful day trip.. highly recommended.. all the places were quality places..

Very happy trip. Understand Bali in 1 day, with the chance to see ancient temples, a Bali show and also experience Bali culture by visiting the villages. Lunch in a restaurant with spectacular view of the volcano, which is an interesting experience. Would recommend this trip to visitors who visit Bali for the first time.

Good way to get a broad cultural experience of Bali. The ancient tradition of the Barong performance will be explained by the guide and I felt like I knew so much more about the country at the end of the day.
