Weizhou Island

Save to wishlist
Weizhou Island is famous for its delicious seafood. Nanwan Street is the agricultural trade center where you can purchase seafood and have it prepared at a local restaurant. Nanwan Street is also known for its concentration of bars. Additionally, there is a small market outside the Catholic Church where many villagers set up stalls selling local snacks, such as Liangfen (mung bean jelly), Ciba (glutinous rice cake), and sweet potato cake, all at very affordable prices. Weizhou's accommodation mainly consists of private guesthouses, with Nanwan being a popular place to stay due to its convenient access to dining and shopping, as well as its reasonable proximity to the island's main attractions. The peak tourist season for Weizhou Island is from May to October. It is recommended to book your accommodations in advance if you plan to visit Weizhou Island during the holidays.
