Private Day Tour to Mutianyu or Badaling Great Wall from Beijing by Chartered Car

We had a fantastic time on this tour! Our driver Dong Xuefei contacted us the day before to arrange all the logistics - he was very patient and friendly. He recommended us to leave at 6.30am to beat the crowds, and it was a 10/10 suggestion! We saw a snaking line as we exited. He kindly helped us arrange for a carseat for our child, gave her presents, and prepared snacks for us to eat after the climb. He also helped us buy all our tickets, take pictures, and gave us clear instructions on where to go. After Mutianyu, we went to Summer Palace - we exceeded the 9h time by 3 hours, but he was super patient and didn't rush us at all. We were very happy to top up for the extra time :) We'll definitely book this again if we're ever back in Beijing, and we'd love to request for Mr Dong to be our driver once more!

We had an amazing experience at the Mutianyu Great Wall on April 29th. Mr. Sun was our driver. He was punctual and kept in contact with us before and during our trip. We left at 7:00 am and arrived around 8:30 am, which was perfect because we got there right before it got crowded. If you’re an early bird you can leave earlier as recommended but we have a 4 year old and 7:00am best suited us. After the Mutianyu we made our way to Huanghuacheng Wall lakeside area. We went on a boat ride and took a walk in the park and had some coffee which was the perfect way to end our tour. We were also in a time limit so we had to shorten our trip but it was still amazing and Mr Sun was very understanding of our situation. Thank you Mr Sun!

Our driver, Mr Xia (夏师傅), was one of the best driver-guides my family has ever had. He was friendly, helpful, and positive throughout the trip, and we truly appreciated his hospitality. As we were travelling with a wheelchair, he went above and beyond by helping to push it most of the way up to MTY Great Wall cable car entrance, together with two colleagues. The path was steep and uneven, and we wouldn’t have enjoyed the experience as much without his help. The car was very comfortable and thoughtfully stocked with snacks and even bananas. Along the way, he also shared interesting history about the Great Wall, which made the journey more meaningful. He brought us to a fish restaurant for lunch, grilled fish was excellent. Do note that prices are slightly higher as it’s a touristy area, so keep that in mind if you’re on a budget. Also brought us to a nice tea place for tea tasting. Thank you Mr Xia for everything, we will definitely book through this operator again if we come back!

5/5 Stars – Fantastic Experience with Tian Wei! Our family of four had an incredible day at Mutianyu with Tian Wei. He met us exactly on time in a spotless, very comfortable car. He even provided complimentary drinks and snacks, which were a lifesaver for the kids during the drive! Tian Wei made everything seamless by pre-arranging our entrance, cable car, and toboggan tickets. He truly went above and beyond, guiding us to the base of the Wall and up to a tower to take family photos for us. He also suggested a visit to the Summer Palace afterward, which was a wonderful addition to our day. For a stress-free and thoughtful service, we highly recommend booking with Tian Wei!

I'm very satisfied with this tour. The driver, Mr.Li Qingshan is excellent and very kind. He has contacted me the day before and waiting patiently at the hotel before the agreed time. He gave a very clear instruction, the car is very clean, he also provided snacks, water, and fruits. He gave us fridge magnet souvenir as well, which is a very kind gesture. The Mutianyu great wall is very good, and you better go early morning to avoid the crowd. The summer palace is very big, so you better spare some extra time if you want to explore all sites. I would definitely recomment to book this tour.

I highly recommend this service to anyone who plans on visiting the Great Wall. We did our tour with Wang Wen Kuan — he picked us up promptly, advised us on the best times to visit the Wall, helped buy our tickets, directed us away from the crowds, and took us to the best local lunch spot. The car was pristine and stacked with snacks and drinks for the entire car ride. By the time we were coming down from the Wall, there were huge crowds of people, all of which we avoided. The Summer Palace was beautiful as well and I only wish we had more time to see it. This tour was worth every penny and in my opinion, is probably one of the best ways to see the Great Wall. Special thank you to Wang who made this experience 10x better and more comfortable. We learned so much from him and wish to relive this day over and over again!

Today's trip was truly memorable🤩 Our driver, Master Sun, had communicated with us the day before and arrived early to pick us up from our hotel. He was very helpful throughout the trip, even assisting us with ticketing and entry to the gate. There were three of us, including one child, so we stopped for snacks a lot, but Master Sun was very welcoming and accommodating. Even on the way back to the hotel, Master Sun was willing to take us to pick cherries and apricots in the orchard. Thank you very much, Master Sun, for today. See you again on the next trip🙏

Mr. Zhao Zhongyue is our driver. He is very attentive, bringing us safely to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, despite the rain we had a good time. Thank him for recommending going both trips using cable cars and ski lift as it's very tiring to go up and down. I originally planned to go up by cable car and back down by tobbogan but glad I didn't. The rain stopped it anyway. After that we went for local fruit shopping. Cheap and very sweet. Love. And the jade factory is amazing. Had a great time shopping and bargaining like a local. Will definitely come again and use the service. The car is very decent by Honda, Mr. Zhao even took many pictures for me.

I was extremely happy with the service that Summer (driver) provided. he picked us up at 7am and we travelled to the Great Wall, had lunch then went to the summer palace. Although we expected no English spoken our driver spoke some English and used a translator. He organised our tickets and was very knowledgeable. He provided plenty of cold water, snacks and even gave us all a gift. The kids loved the pandas. Thank you for a day we will not forget

Our driver was Mr. Sun and he was very chatty, sharing with us a lot of information about Beijing and it's cultures over the journey. He was very punctual and gave us all the information as to where to meet, what to see, and very accommodating towards our request to drop by for a tea appreciation, followed by lunch before we headed back to our hotel. Had initially wanted to heed his advice to watch a acrobatic performance otw back, but decided to give it a skip cos we have an elderly with us, who is too tired after the walk. Will definitely recommend this service, and engage them again if we are back in Beijing next time.
