Cairo Giza Pyramids & Saqqara Full-Day Tour with Guide

We had a great trip visiting the Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and very well organized. It was partly our fault that we took a bit longer in Saqqara; however, it would’ve been helpful if the tour guide had also reminded us about the time instead of encouraging us to take our time, as we unfortunately didn’t get to see the Pyramids up close since they were closed by the time we arrived. While the itinerary mentioned that shopping was optional, it did feel a bit more expected during the day, so a clearer heads-up would’ve been helpful. Still, it was a lovely experience overall. Big thanks to Simoone, our wonderful tour guide, and to the driver for a smooth and comfortable journey. I’d definitely recommend this tour!

The itinerary was basically fine, but I felt that the private chartered tour guide portion was not worth the money. The car was old and rundown, and the guide's English was difficult to understand and she didn't provide proper introductions (we are Taiwanese + Japanese, but we live and work in a third country and use English on a daily basis). Klook needs to improve the quality control of its guides and vehicles. The guide put a lot of pressure on us; it wasn't her accommodating us, but rather us needing to keep up with her fast pace. She seemed like she was rushing to get off work 🤷🏻‍♀️. We still gave a tip, but the whole experience felt very pressured and emotionally manipulated. Even at the little shop where we bought soda, we clearly felt that the guide was allowing the shop to overcharge us, and then she went to whisper with the shop owner after we paid... We can buy two large bottles of soda near our accommodation for only 60 Egyptian pounds, but the guide took us to buy two small cans of soda for 300 Egyptian pounds... We really didn't want to argue. The end of the trip was also absurd, with the guide being dropped off first, and then the driver taking us back to our accommodation. However, the driver drove the wrong way down an exit ramp during the last stretch, which was very dangerous and irresponsible. Klook, please ensure the quality of your hires... I won't say the guide's name, please check the order, thank you. We still have a good impression of traveling in Egypt, but this tour was our first tour and the worst experience, leading us to book through other apps or arrange our trips with more reliable drivers afterward.
