It's highly recommended to buy these tickets online. The ticket office and the entrance to the plateau are in different locations, and scammers and beggars try to stop you along the way. The main thing is not to react to anything they say.

I was able to enter immediately, but when I went up, I realized the ticket for King Khufu's pyramid wasn't included, so I had to go back to the entrance. I wish it had been clearly stated that the ticket could only be purchased at the ticket counter.
