Reviews
Very comfortable journey. Good cabins. No delays. Good snacks. Beautiful views of the coastline in the morning hours.
I booked an entire cabin with 4 sleeper beds. The cabin was quite dated, only decently clean. There was no wifi available. The bed was rather stiff. There was qr code in the cabin for odering food/drinks but the service staff was non existent as your online orders will be ignored, its better to just buy from the carts rolling by. Note that the rolling cart staff tried to mark up the price from what was listed online so be aware of that. The train assistant was also non existent, they didnt help me with the luggage even though i was with 3 kids. For the first class price paid, i dont think its worth it as service was non existent and the cabin state (cleanliness, comfort) was barely decent. There was also not mych views along the route. Would not recommend this, better off paying the same price to fly from hanoi to da nang.
Actual arrival time was 2 hours later then info provided. Had to push out the booking of Ba Na Hills, especially the weather turned into bad after that.
I was satisfied with the comfortable use. We left around 19:30 and arrived before 12:00. There are outlets and a bathroom and sink. If you want to experience this rather than taking an airplane, I recommend it just once.
transport included: good redemption guide: good seat reservation process: good price: good pass area coverage: good
The train sleeping car photos are somewhat different from the actual one. However, it is worth riding at least once. The train is old and shakes a lot. It is somewhat uncomfortable to sleep. The view from the train is the best. Snacks and cola are placed in the train car. It smells like the Mugunghwa train that I used to ride with my mother, and it is a chance to reminisce about those memories. The staff will issue tickets in advance and wait for you in the station. They will then guide you to your seat. If you are willing to endure a little discomfort, you can enjoy the scenery leisurely on the train.
It was a long journey, but it was nice to be able to sleep at night and see the scenery from the morning. There was a child in the same space, but they changed seats for me so I could be in a different cabin and sleep quietly.
I wasn't sure how to use the voucher, so I went to the ticket counter at Hanoi Station, thinking I could exchange it for a ticket there. However, I was told to wait near the ticket gate for about 20 minutes. While I was waiting, a man appeared, and I was able to get my ticket. I think it was about 30 minutes before the departure time. I believe more detailed instructions on how to use the voucher would be helpful. This was my first time traveling on an overnight train in Vietnam, and it was a good experience.
Though the service is good, the specific train car have less water in the wash area and in the WC.
we enjoyed the ride from Da Nang to Hanoi
