* 🚌 Meeting Information
- Meeting time and place: Around 8 AM, the driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel at the agreed time. Please inform the guide of your hotel in advance.
- Free pick-up and drop-off services are available in Siming District and Huli District on the island. For areas outside the island, you need to go to a designated meeting point. The specific pick-up time will be notified by the guide.

While the island itself wasn't particularly noteworthy and we got tired from walking, the beautiful buildings, scenery, and delicious food more than made up for it. Xiamen's Gulangyu Island is an attractive island with beautiful sea and historical architecture. It has a quiet atmosphere and exotic feel to it, but there were surprisingly many tourists, and everyone was busy taking photos. There are old foreign buildings on the island, so it was fun to stroll around.
The tour guide was very attentive, explaining every detail clearly and sharing many interesting stories with us! The tour guide truly enriched our journey and made it very memorable!

I honestly do not usually leave bad reviews, but this guide deserved no stars if possible. She left messages and kept "tickling" me on WeChat as she expected immediate replies. Mind you, it was a span of only 2 minutes. Next, she spoke into the earpiece intercom and walked far far ahead of the group. We were a group of 8, with 6 elderly folks. Gosh. She just walked and walked on and I had to keep calling out for her to wait for my parents and the others. Following which, she made remarks like, if you need me to stop and wait, call out to me. Like duh, I was already doing that. When 7 out of 8 of us declined going into a garden, she remarked, you came all the way to China yet you don't want to see the flowers 🥴🥴😫😫 Lastly, we were not given time to shop. I know those are tourist traps but hey, I am a tourist after all, of coz I want to buy ridiculous souvenirs. Tour was fine, but guide was 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼Maybe try an even smaller group tour? And oh yes, be prepped to walk minimally 3km. 😬
we spent too much time on the first stop, the temple on Xiamen side, that by the time we were on Gulanyu island it was past noon with half the day gone. the island was charming with many old styled buildings but unfortunately we only get to go inside 2 of them. would have love to have more time to visit more of the old houses. also, the guide did not refund us for the free entrance fees for seniors

Good to know
- Due to the limited number of ferry tickets, the order of the itinerary may be adjusted without affecting the guest's schedule. The specific arrangement will be based on the time schedule of the Gulangyu ferry tickets.
- Gulangyu Island implements a real-name system. Tourists must provide accurate names and ID numbers when registering. Boarding is permitted only when the ticket, identification, and passenger information match. (Children without ID cards can bring their household registration book). Our company is not responsible if passengers are unable to board due to their own reasons, such as incorrect or missing information, or temporary changes in travelers.
- Group tickets are valid for same-day use, and group passengers must enter and leave the island at the same time. Tourists who leave the group early or stay overnight on Gulangyu Island should purchase their own return ticket at the ferry terminal window for 18 yuan/person.
