Chengdu Panda Volunteer 1-Day Charity Experience in Dujiangyan/Wolong Panda Base

It was a great experience to participate in the Dujiangyan Panda Volunteer Project! The staff patiently guided me and I learned more about giant pandas. I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I threw bamboo and made food for pandas. I also met a group of like-minded partners and gained a lot. I recommend everyone to experience it!

It was a very good experience. During the booking stage, the customer service answered questions seriously and explained the process in detail; I received notifications in time, which reduced my worries; the housekeeper created a group and gathered on time; the tour guide was serious and responsible, and explained in detail various knowledge such as the living habits of pandas, which was great!

Taking the kids to be panda volunteers was so meaningful! At the base, we prepared food for the pandas with the children. Watching the little ones seriously peel bamboo shoots was especially heartwarming. We were also able to observe the pandas eating and playing up close. In the afternoon, we went to Dujiangyan and listened to the tour guide tell the story of Li Bing's water control project. The kids were captivated. It was a great experience to get close to these adorable creatures and learn something new. This kind of parent-child trip is much more interesting than just checking off tourist spots!

As a huge panda fan, this Dujiangyan + Panda Base volunteer experience was a dream come true! I got to cut bamboo shoots and clean enclosures for the little pandas with my own hands, and it was so cute when the fluffy little guys came over and rubbed against my palms! The team leader was super professional and also explained the pandas' habits and conservation knowledge. In the afternoon, I visited the Dujiangyan Irrigation System and was amazed by the wisdom of the ancients. It was a very rewarding day, and I will definitely come back again!

The Chengdu Panda Volunteer 1-Day Experience is truly meaningful! Preparing fresh bamboo shoots and cleaning enclosures for the giant pandas with your own hands, and observing their adorable clumsiness as they eat bamboo and roll around up close, the feeling of happiness is truly indescribable. The staff will explain the pandas' habits, protection knowledge, and precautions in detail, allowing me to learn a lot of professional knowledge. The whole process is standardized and orderly, with adequate protection measures, so you can interact with the pandas and contribute to their living environment. After the experience, you can also receive an exclusive commemorative certificate, which is very collectible and suitable for family trips, couples trips, and panda lovers!

The kids absolutely loved it! On the way back, they kept chattering about how well-behaved the little pandas were. Most importantly, it wasn't too crowded. Overall, the experience was very strong, and even the adults were fully engaged, making panda steamed buns. The itinerary was well-planned, so you can have fun and learn something at the same time. Highly recommended!

It was a very unforgettable experience. We observed the giant pandas up close and learned about their living habits and characteristics. In this activity, we had tasks to complete with other volunteers, which also strengthened the children's communication skills. We met many people from all over the country. It was a very meaningful activity.

My package does not include transportation but the review has that option... I think the one day volunteer experience is really great but do note the stress is on experience and not so much on volunteer. Explanation by the enclosure guide is detailed and informative. The guide from the tour (?) is also very helpful by helping to take photos and bringing around the panda enclosure, with introduction to the various panda. Would recommend this activity to panda lovers, just to experience what the keepers do in a day. For those with dietary restrictions, do inform the tour in advance. Not sure if anything could be done as I forgot to mention my dietary restrictions...
