Reviews
Finally saw the historical records of 唐僧 Xuanzang’s journey to the West—so different from the mythical tales in Journey to the West! Fascinating to see the real story behind the legend. Every time I watched TVB dramas where crowds rushed through ancient city gates, I wondered what it really felt like… Now, standing at the Ming City Wall gates, I finally get it. History truly comes alive!
the tour guide very experienced but very hungry for money. sell cookies n snack on the bus while driver drive the bus very. let us have food tasting and we ordered some that delivered to the hotel. overall good experience. tq
At the end of the tour, the guide just dropped us to bell tower and drum tower which didn’t include the entrance ticket for this tour. They also did not guide us to Huimin street. These three locations were on the itinerary, and it’s a bit misleading to say it is included on the tour when we have to buy our own tickets and are not guided.
we got mixed in with an existing tour on their last day. the tour guide was introducing souvenirs to be sold on the bus. it’s all in mandarin. the pagoda tour was okay, but mostly an explanation in the begining and we have 1hr to ourselves. city wall is the same . Muslim quarter is just a drop off, no explanation. I think it’s just luck on which tour group you get.
This was the second tour I booked in Xi’an, and while there were a few minor bumps, it was still an overall positive experience. The night before the tour, the guide asked me to take a taxi to another hotel in the morning, as he had many guests to pick up and would meet me there. I followed his instructions and arrived on time at the scheduled pick-up time of 7:50 AM, but I ended up waiting for more than an hour. On the positive side, the guide was kind and answered my questions via WeChat, ensuring clear communication. Despite the slight delay at the start, the rest of the tour went smoothly and was enjoyable. While the guide didn’t speak English, we managed to communicate well without any issues. If you are looking for a convenient transportation to take you to the other attractions in Xi’an, then this tour is for you.
I did a joint tour with Chinese people, and the guide was kind even though they gave separate explanations via WeChat and communication was difficult.
The tour guide contacted us one day in advance, the message was clear, and the tour bus picked us up at the hotel very conveniently. There were many tourists in the group, and we ended up at the last stop on Huimin Street.
The tour guide just dropped us in front of bell tower for our last destination around 1pm then we were leave from there which is different from the itinerary. Just simple explain on the bus and promote some local foods.
The tour didn't take us to the Bell Tower. From the Xi'an Wall, we went straight to Muslim Street, but it was generally okay.
Although Xi'an is a large city, its subway system is well-developed and convenient, making it a great choice for getting around on your own.
