The car picked me up on time and gave me great advice. Inside Gubei is quite big and there is a cable car to go up to the Great Wall. There weren't many people at this checkpoint.
Driver Mr. Zhu was kind and friendly. While we originally intended to visit Gubei water town only, he recommended us to visit the nearby Jinshanling Great Wall site too. Great driver, Mr 辉, thank you! Steady driving for the long 2 hours ride to Gubei town. The town itself is very ancient looking and links directly to the Great Wall. Tickets can be bought on the spot with your passport and there are numerous food options inside. Recommended to go on a weekday to avoid crowds.

Our driver was kind, easy to communicate with, and punctual. The car was well-maintained and clean inside; everything was perfect. The drive to Jinshanling from Beijing city center takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours one way. The highway portion was smooth with no traffic jams. On non-highway sections, when there was a lot of traffic, slow vehicles often required frequent overtaking, which seemed unavoidable. Overall, there were no issues. Easy and convenient. Our driver, Wang Li, was very friendly and drove carefully and smoothly. The car was very clean. Please note that the entrance ticket to the site (65 Yuan), the bus (20 Yuan), and the cable car (60 Yuan) are not included. However, we had a pleasant day.
He did not give specific instructions what time to pick us up. When I ask him, he was not happy. Only reminded us if there is a delay, we need to pay a fine. However, we got a very good car. I was grateful for that.

It is really convenient to rent a car to Jinshanling. The driver will communicate with us on WeChat the day before to communicate the meeting time and confirm the location. The journey is also very smooth and the vehicle is very comfortable. It saves a lot of time doing homework and waiting for the shuttle bus, especially when climbing My feet are very sore after finishing Jinshanling.
