Guide, Luigi, was excellent. He, with 49 yrs of experience, knew how to operate efficiently to get us on Blue Grotto boat. Upon getting shores, we were immediately transferred by bus, not by boat (too much waiting on boat will get sea sick), que was short when we arrived. and enjoyed the blue light sea surface inside the cave. Luigi took us roaming thru main area & side paths with a lot of history & plantation. If we were to do it ourselves, we would probably not tour as much, or need more days. We(party of 2) loved Capri & enjoyed very much. Highly recommend optional cable car rides to see island from high.

We disbanded at 4:00. We had free time, but the tour guide wanted to leave early, so our free time was cut short by half an hour. That half hour would have been perfect for me to visit a landmark instead of a shopping street. It's possible to explore the island on your own; the buses are frequent. However, the Klook eSIM doesn't work on the island. You'll need to use traditional methods like paper maps and asking locals for directions. The place is worth visiting, but the boatmen at the Blue Grotto constantly pressure you for tips.
