Super easy to navigate and find the person, get to skip the queue and hassle! Straight in and no trouble! The museums are a must visit if it’s your first time in Vietnam, we learnt so much about Vietnam’s past!
You need to look staff in red T-shirt to redeem your voucher. They hang around the entrance gate or the bus stop. If you don't see them, perhaps they go to the toilet. The palace itself is grandeur, with many chambers where the head of states and high-rank officials meet and discuss things. But you can only see from the outside. The doors are open, but you cannot come in. Be prepared for large crowds as many tour groups include this place in their package, thanks to the relatively low entrance ticket. There are three floors to explore. On the top floor, there is a chopper that might have been made retired. Overall, this place is worth-visiting to have a glimpse of what royal chambers actually look like. It adds to our knowledge of Vietnamese history.
Nice place to visit if you want to learn more about the history of Vietnam. We got a bit lost figuring out which entrance to use, but the ticket was easy to redeem and we were able to skip the long lines when we arrived.
A wrong turn after walking from the War Museum can be a life-changer, ended up walking around trying to find the entrance, it was so far, almost cried. Before the reservation date, staff contacted me via WhatsApp to arrange ticket pick-up. The inside is very spacious with many floors to walk up and down. Convenience of booking via Klook: Very good.
If you come to Vietnam, you must visit the Reunification Palace to learn about Vietnamese history. If you buy tickets through Klook, you don't have to spend extra time queuing on-site. When traveling, your company's employees also proactively contacted me via WhatsApp to confirm that I had booked the itinerary and approximately what time I would arrive. I think this is a great approach, and customers can also use WhatsApp to explain problems and provide their estimated time of arrival, which is convenient for staff to be present to provide you with tickets. I visited the itinerary that included Norodom Palace, and I recommend renting an audio guide on the day. I rented a Chinese audio guide to better understand the interior of the Reunification Palace. The Reunification Palace is really big! Please allow 2-3 hours to walk around the grounds!
We visited this historic site on our own, and it was absolutely worth it. Walking through the halls gave us a deeper appreciation of Vietnam’s past. The architecture, preserved rooms, and exhibits tell powerful stories of leadership, war, and resilience. It was a DIY visit, but everything was easy to navigate and informative. A must-see when in Saigon for history lovers and curious minds alike.
A very exciting tour that enriched and embodied Vietnamese Culture and Government. Will definitely recommend this place to visit and it is worth visiting!! ☺️☺️ Thank you klook for the discount that i availed.
It was an amazing experience to see the Independence Palace which is beautiful and well maintained. it was easy to spot the guy with the red T-shirt who was from Klook to take our tickets. I liked the bunkers that were built in the underground of the palace. Must visit!

Guide

  • Discover one of Ho Chi Minh City's most iconic landmarks, the Independence Palace. More than just a building, it's a living museum that transports you through the pages of Vietnamese history.
  • Explore a unique blend of modernist and traditional Vietnamese architecture

Independence Palace, also called Reunification Palace, is a historic landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, recognized as one of Vietnam's ten special national relics. Built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, it witnessed Saigon's transformation, serving as the presidential palace during the Vietnam War. The iconic image of tanks crashing through its gates in 1975 marked the end of the war and Vietnam's reunification.

The palace showcases a unique blend of mid-century modern and traditional Vietnamese architecture. Its vast 120,000 square meter campus features hundreds of luxuriously furnished rooms, stunning outdoor spaces, and ancient trees dating back to the French colonial era.

Today, the palace is open to the public, offering a glimpse into Vietnam's history. The exhibit "From Norodom Palace to Independence Palace 1868-1966" provides insights into the building's century-long journey, from the seat of French colonial power to a symbol of Vietnamese independence.
