Asakusa Kimono Rental & Photo Shoot (Kimono Rental Ange)

Really loved the whole experience! 💕 first 3 photos were taken by the assigned photographer and he turned around within 2 days, sent us a google link to download the photos. He also knew which places to go to take the photos which helps a lot as the day we went was a Public Holiday and everywhere was very crowded. It can get overwhelming as foreigners. The shop is a small one at level 2 near Ippudo ramen. Small but the selection was great for ladies, small selection for men and for children. Changing and hairdressing had to be done one by one cause there were only 2 ladies manning the place. They are super nice and friendly! I would go back to them again ☺️

Make an appointment at 9:30, and the store clerk will greet you warmly as soon as you arrive; there are 3 options for women’s kimonos, and you can try them on and choose; the process of putting on a kimono is quick and neat, and the photographer also arrived at the scene very early to wait. After getting dressed, he went to nearby scenic spots to take photos. The photographer is from Nanjing and speaks the same language. If you have any spots or poses you want to take photos of, you can suggest them. There are many people around Asakusa, so the photographer will try to avoid the crowds to take photos. He will probably take more than 100 photos, return the kimono on the return trip, and receive it in the evening. Photos sent by the photographer. If you want to rent a kimono and take photos without being crowded, you can make a reservation😄

My boyfriend and I did a couples Kimono photoshoot and everything went amazingly! The Kimono was beautiful and my hairstyle was so cute! The women who helped us get dressed were very sweet. The photographer was super nice and helped us with poses too. We had a great time amd really recommend!

Very happy with the friendly service and overall experience! selection for kids kimonos is sufficient and of high quality. Daughter loves her day in Kimono and ask if we could do it again next time we are in Tokyo. :) definitely recommending this experience to everyone.

The experience was excellent! We really enjoyed ourselves and are elated that we made the right choice. The 2 shop attendants are very professional, the younger lady speaks English, Japanese and French. It’s the same girl modeling for some of their showcase photos. The photographer assigned to us speaks Chinese. She guided us on where and how to pose. We were impressed with all photos taken. 80 photos were taken and to select 9 photos for editing. All 80 unedited photos were sent to us to download in the afternoon of the same day. Everything was done efficiently. We went there at 9.30am so the kimono design I am eyeing will not be missed. We were lucky that there were not too many people in the morning. Overall the experience is fantastic. Highly recommended!

We love our experience with Kimono Rental Ange. Before the day I have emailed them asking some questions and they were always quick to reply. Finding the shop was relatively easy. The shop is small but clean and tidy. They have large selection of kimonos. On arrival, we were getting amazing service from choosing our kimono to wearing them. They kept our normal clothing safe while we were out wearing the kimono. The younger attendant speaks English. Not perfect, but sufficient to communicate. My body is large, and they have nice-looking men's kimono available. My daughter particularly loved her kimono and hair accessories. The photo session was nice. The photographer knew the photo spots and gave us some clear guidance on the pose. Some of the suggested poses were a bit awkward, but we know it was made with good intention. After the session, the photographer sent us more than 200 photos using Google Drive link via Whatsapp. We get some great photos from the session. Very happy with the overall experience and would recommend them!

Both Leiko and her daughter Shanel (I hope that’s how to spell their names), they were amazing from the moment we stepped into the office/space! they were warm and welcoming!!! I totally recommend this experience for anyone going to Japan!

the best shop ever, everything is free including the hair, the hair have variety of design. the hair dresser and kimono dresser are so nice and pretty. They give you enough time to choose your favorite yukata, they are very patient and very professional in making you look pretty and cute. they can speak English fluently and being very polite and gentle. very nice and friendly lady. love it. 100% will recommended this shop to all my friends. thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have scrolled and compared kimono rent in klook. Then I decided to pick this store because it had 5 star rated and affordable. Though I booked D-1 before rent, they were comfirmed fastly and the photoshoot went so smooth. They can speak English and friendly to us during hair-do my hair.
