How to get there
- By bus: Nearest bus station: From JR Onomichi Station, take the bus bound for Senkoji Park for about 15 minutes, get off at the Senkoji Park bus stop, and then walk 10 minutes to the summit station.
- By car: Highway name: About 10 minutes from the Onomichi Bypass "From Nagae Interchange" 10 minutes walk from the Senkoji Park Summit Parking Lot (paid) to the Summit Station

This is my first time experiencing cable car in Hiroshima. At first, it seemed scary, but when I entered the car I felt nothing but mesmerizing by the beauty of the landscape. As I arrived the observation deck, I could see the beautiful scenery including temples, city, and sea. Overall, I had amazing experience here.

I recently visited Senkouji Temple, and instead of climbing the mountain, I opted to use the ropeway service. It was a very pleasant experience and cost only 700¥ for a round trip. The view from the ropeway was breathtaking, offering a high vantage point to admire both Senkouji Temple and Onomichi City.
There is also a small souvenir shop at the top, where I enjoyed some delicious lemon ice cream and bought souvenirs for my friends. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend taking the ropeway for a memorable visit.

I was here already a lot of times. it is fast and easy to use the ropeway to get to the observation platform. you can buy tickets for either one or both ways. I recommend going upwards using the ropeway and then walking down to the temple and through the neko street. Then, you will again arrive at the entrance of the ropeway.

A must if the weather is good. A short ropeway takes you to a breathtaking view of the city an the many islands, then you can walk to the Senkoji temple just below. Wonderful stuff. And there are cats around!

I visited on a Friday morning and showed the Klook page to the staff at the ticket counter. The actual ticket exchange happened after getting off the ropeway (definitely don't open it beforehand). There weren't many people, and a ropeway car was about to depart when I arrived, lucky! If you have a backpack, you need to hold it in front of you. I happened to be standing on the side of the ropeway going up the mountain, and the view was lush green. I could see Senkoji Temple, and looking down, I saw the scenery of Onomichi. There's no need to rush to take photos, as you'll see this same view from the observation deck and all the way down the mountain. The ropeway ride is only about 5 minutes, at a comfortable speed, and the staff provided commentary in Japanese.

It was really a thrilling way for me to get into the Mt. Senkoji via the ropeway. Before it I have never been to any ropeway. Such a nice way for my maiden ropeway tour.

The ropeway connects the town full of temples below to the senkouji temple. the ropeway is operated smoothly so it is a fun experience and worth the price. the view from the observatory at the very top is astonishing, we can see the strait that looks like a river. great that it was sunny when i came there, but i think it is best to come in spring where we can see many cherry blossom trees blooming below. its a shame we didnt have time to explore the temples below, but its good that we can have something to look forward to when we visit again. highly recommended!

Online tickets are cheaper than buying them on-site. You can use the QR code directly to ride the cable car. If you buy a round-trip ticket, the staff will give you a return ticket when you arrive at Senkoji Temple after the first leg. Overall, very satisfied!
