this was a beautiful tour. Definitely do not wait for the last boat so that you can get off at the island that has the cool castle.
An absolutely fab experience this was! Not to be missed if youu're in Edinburgh. The Staff were cheerful and very friendly. You must go for the 11 AM cruise and stay back on the island for two hours. The 2nd cruise which leaves by 1 PM picks you up on it's way. Only the short walk from the station to the pier was a bit confusing yet beautiful! 😍
It was a nice tour despite the rainy weather. We had to take a bus (bus stop is convenient on the way there as it was just in Princess Street. However, the drop-off was a bit tricky (we got lost, which is mostly our fault) and there was a bit of a hike from the bus station from the said tourist attraction.
After braving the harsh wind to take numerous pictures of the bridge, I walked around and realized there were many other beautiful spots to capture, making the ride seem unnecessary. I chose the option that included a stopover on the island, but the explanation wasn't clear, and we didn't receive the yellow card. Upon showing the voucher, the kiosk gave us a white card, which we took and boarded, only to find out it was just for the boat ride. The options and route information need to be clearer to avoid confusion. The indoor seating was stuffy, while the outdoor seating was challenging due to the sun and strong winds.
