What to expect
Day 1: Hotel pick up and transport to Cachora, where the trek begins; you'll hike across the Apurimac Canyon, visit villages and scenic points, have lunch at Capuliyoc, and continue to Chiquisca to camp overnight.
Day 2: Hike downhill to La Playa Rosalina, then ascend to Marampampa for lunch; after lunch, continue trekking to Choquequirao where you'll set up camp and enjoy a guided tour of the ruins before having dinner and resting overnight.
Day 3: Descending to La Playa Rosalina for lunch, ascending again to Chiquisca, passing through small communities, and camping overnight in Chiquisca.
Day 4: Hike back to Cachora, taking in the final views of the snow-capped peaks, and then take a private bus back to Cusco, arriving around 9:00 pm.
