Our teacher was amazing and very sweet. It was so cool learning how to make the dishes I love so much. Learned a lot from this class and made such delicious food that all other dishes I’ve had before and will have in the future cannot compare.
I participated with my 12-year-old son. Juney's explanation was thorough, her attitude was friendly, and the four dishes we made were all successful. It was a very good experience. I joined the experience with my 12-year-old son. Juney is very serious and kind. Every dish is so tasty. It's a successful experience. I'll recommend it to everyone.
Best of the best! June is very friendly and kind, not only the cooking, but she told us many about the background or even history of the food! The market visit just make this trip different, meet the locals and get to know the culture! The class was also so well prepared!
Absolutely loved the Thai cooking class experience! Highly recommend it to those who aren't keen on the typical tourist traps and want to truly immerse themselves in the local culture. I was the only one in the morning class, which meant a private, one-on-one lesson – score! 😆 Before the class started, June took me on a tuk-tuk ride to explore a traditional market. She introduced me to some Thai street food and pointed out what you can buy there. This was a truly authentic market, the kind where you hardly see any tourists. When we got to the fish stalls, June mentioned that you can buy fish to release into the river for good luck – eels for wealth, turtles for longevity, and doctor fish for health. You can even order fish remotely via Line and have the vendors release them for you! While I don't fully agree with the practice, it was quite interesting. The Thai cooking class involved making four dishes: Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, Chicken Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice. June explained the ingredients and shared some historical tidbits along the way. The cooking process was very chill, and every dish was incredibly delicious 🥹. It really proves that with the right ingredients, Thai food can be incredibly authentic. The most unique part was grinding the curry paste from scratch, starting with the spices (you can buy pre-made paste at the market, but freshly ground is definitely more fragrant!). Each dish was perfectly portioned for one person, and we ate them hot off the stove. I left feeling full and happy – it was fantastic! 😆
our family of 4 attended the English cooking class taught by Jan. she has a bachelors and masters in English therefore it was easy to understand her English. we started with a Tuk tuk ride to the market and she showed and explained the history of that specific market and individual stalls. the food we made were a tom yum soup, pad that, massalam curry and mango sticky rice. It was definitely an eye opener and fun experience for the person in our group that never wanted to join a cooking class. would definitely recommend it.
took chinese courses to challenge myself as Indonesian, coming up with only me in morning class, but it still happening ! June is one of the cheerful and kind teacher, love it! She speaks Chinese very well too, hope if Chinese people come to Blind Valley they can experience Thai food here. Recommended!
It was a special day for me. Thanks to teacher June's breadth of knowledge, kindness and consideration, I was able to spend a very comfortable time. It was also attractive that I was able to find the classroom right away, as it was close to the nearest station. This may be the only cooking class where you can take a tuk-tuk to the market! At the market, she gave me a detailed explanation about vegetables, seafood and fruits. We spent about 30 minutes at the market, then returned to the classroom and started cooking. After making each dish, we ate it in a cool room and then made the next dish. The classroom was very clean. All four dishes were delicious and I am very satisfied. Thank you so much, teacher June!
Thank you for a lovely experience! Our teacher was lovely, very patient and entertaining. We enjoyed the tuk tuk ride to the market, had some snacks, and went back for the class. We made 4 different dishes, and they were all delicious. Highly recommend this experience.
The Chinese class in the morning was full, so we signed up for the English class in the afternoon. I didn't expect that there were so few people in the class. It felt like a one-on-one private tutor. What a surprise! Teacher June's explanation was very detailed. While teaching cooking knowledge, she also told you some about the history and culture of the country, which was very interesting. At 2:00 pm, Teacher June took us to a very large vegetable market by tutu car. There were all kinds of interesting ingredients in the vegetable market. We also tasted Thailand's special small bowls of desserts for free and watched how coconut milk was processed. After returning to the classroom, we started the hand-made cooking session. Teacher June explained every step very clearly, and it was easy to get started, and even the children enjoyed participating in it. The dishes made by yourself with real ingredients tasted amazing! After the course, our stomachs were full~ The children especially liked mango sticky rice, which was beautiful and delicious. The school prepared a special shorter stove for the children, which was very attentive. I really strongly recommend everyone to experience it!
Super worth it cooking class with full experience of Tuk tuk ride to the local market, trying local pandan coconut dessert, cooking & eating experience! Very simple to cook but delicious Thai food that you can recreate at home. Lalit is very friendly and clear in her explanation. I was not expecting the dishes to be so tasty. It was also nice to cook each dish and eat before moving to the next one so you are always eating it piping hot! Thank you Lalit & Arun Thai cooking team.
