Reviews summaryI had an amazing experience on this tour and highly recommend it. The itinerary was well planned, covering Phnom Kulen, the 1000 Lingas, Wat Preah Ang Thom, Beng Mealea, and Kampong Phluk. Our guide, Mr. Kim, was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Mr. Moon, our driver, was also excellent and made the journey smooth and comfortable. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The lunch was delicious, and we were provided with unlimited bottled water, cold wet towels, and fresh pineapple snacks throughout the day. What impressed me most was how this local operator supports other local businesses. Our lunch was prepared by a local chef, and they even gave us complimentary Cambodian scarves purchased from local shops. If you’re looking to visit the best attractions in Siem Reap beyond Angkor Wat, I highly recommend this tour.
Huge thanks to our guide Mr. Sareik and driver Mr. James for an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was well planned. There was no pressure to buy anything, and Mr. Sareik patiently shared Cambodia’s history, culture, and local life. His English was excellent and easy to understand. The van was comfortable with A/C, charging ports, cold water, and refreshing lemongrass-scented towels. Lunch beside the waterfall was amazing, with delicious local food and vegetarian options. What touched me most was Tonlé Sap. We saw real village life—children playing traditional games, families fishing, and people simply living their daily lives. Everyone was friendly, curious, and welcoming. Mr. James even bought us fresh local fruit, and we each received a traditional Cambodian scarf at the end. They also happily helped us take photos throughout the day. Their passion and sincerity made us appreciate Cambodia in a completely different way. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I participated alone, and in a word, it was simply a perfect trip. I had also taken an Angkor Wat tour with the same company before, and the guide and driver were incredibly polite and precise. They provided thorough explanations and proactively took photos for me at prime photo spots. I've been on numerous tours abroad, but this might be the first time I've been so completely satisfied. That's how good it was. Jan, our guide for this tour, and the driver whose name I've forgotten, were both outstanding. Jan, thank you for teaching me about Khmer culture at the end; your final words almost brought tears to my eyes. I truly felt the culture and pride of the Khmer people. The tour itself was very hot, but the driver constantly provided water, and cold towels were offered when we returned from sightseeing. Every detail was taken care of. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. However, it's a long day tour, and Siem Reap is hot, with poor footing at the ruins and waterfalls, so it's quite physically demanding. I recommend being in good physical shape before participating. I also highly recommend other tours offered by this company.
From the initial WhatsApp confirmation of necessary items to the small gift at the end, this tour offered the best hospitality. Both the driver and our guide, Makara, were constantly attentive to our needs. Their polite English explanations, along with the cold towels and chilled water provided every time we returned to the car, made for a very comfortable trip. The lunch was also delicious! (^^) Everything, including the trek on Kulen Mountain, playing at the waterfall, Beng Mealea, and Tonlé Sap, was perfectly planned and efficient. I highly recommend everyone to join this tour! I believe you'll have many experiences that you couldn't have on your own. By the way, we could also charge our devices and use Wi-Fi on the bus!
This group tour was a perfect and unforgettable journey for me, filled with comfort and heartwarming moments from start to finish. At the beginning of the trip, the driver was already waiting, showing no signs of rushing, and this thoughtful gesture made the journey feel warm from the very start. Throughout the trip, the car maintained a comfortable air-conditioned temperature, and there was an endless supply of iced water, completely alleviating any travel fatigue. The entire ride was very pleasant. The service from the driver and guide team was impeccable. They demonstrated high professionalism, communicated fluently in English, and provided meticulous and thoughtful care. Every action made us genuinely feel at home. Each planned attraction perfectly matched my preferences; the scenery everywhere was a delightful surprise and completely met my expectations. Although the local weather was exceptionally hot, it was precisely because of this that we had the opportunity to witness Siem Reap's purest dry season landscape, a unique sight that became another wonderful experience during the trip. The boat trip to Tonlé Sap Lake was particularly novel and unique, as if we were instantly transported into a tropical savanna and rainforest. Looking out along the way, we could see local farmers busy working in the fields and lean oxen in the dry season, with the pristine rural scenery unfolding before our eyes. Although the river channels of Tonlé Sap Lake became narrower during the dry season, it did not affect the experience at all. The view was expansive throughout, filled with unique lake scenery. The guide also thoughtfully took many precious photos for us, capturing beautiful moments of the journey, making it a truly rewarding experience. What was even more impactful during the trip was seeing crocodile skin, crocodile skulls, and baby crocodile specimens with my own eyes. These sights, usually hard to imagine, created a strong visual impact when they were realistically displayed before me. But what moved me the most was arriving at the floating fish farms on the lake and witnessing the fishermen toiling in the scorching heat; after disembarking and venturing into the local community, I saw the hardships of large families. These scenes made me reflect deeply and truly understand how precious a happy life is. What gave me an even greater sense of accomplishment was when the guide informed us that this booked tour genuinely helped many impoverished local people. The free snacks we tasted along the way and the special lunch by the waterfall were all handmade by ordinary locals, clean, hygienic, and delicious. The Cambodian scarf souvenirs we brought back were also hand-woven by local textile workers, stitch by stitch. Knowing that a portion of our tour fees would be donated to local charities and communities to aid local development, this meaning already transcended the trip itself. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate the unique charm of Cambodia's natural landscapes but also provided an incredibly valuable cultural experience. While experiencing the local customs and traditions, I also gained inner growth and insights, making it a profoundly meaningful and lifelong memorable journey.
It was a very meaningful one-day cultural tour in Siem Reap with a full and well-arranged itinerary. Along the way, I enjoyed the agricultural and natural scenery along the roads of Siem Reap. Our guide, Mr. Kim, was responsible, enthusiastic and friendly. He kindly helped take photos and gave very professional explanations, which helped me gain a deeper understanding of the Hindu myths of Shiva Linga, as well as the history of Cambodian temples and culture. The breakfast and lunch were rich, nutritious and suited Asian tastes perfectly. For me, the highlight of the trip was the Tonle Sap Lake. It was my first time taking a motor ship to enjoy the scenery of the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia up close, and I took many photos with strong humanistic elements. It was truly worthwhile.
I highly recommend our tour guide, Mr. SA! It's a shame I didn't get a photo with him. He is an excellent, professional, and cheerful guide who is very attentive to everyone's feelings. If you need a private custom tour, please look for him. Also, his partner, the driver, was exceptionally good. He always had ice water and ice towels with a floral scent ready for us at every stop. I hope both of them get lots of work and earn a lot of money. During this trip, we saw the unique scenery exclusive to Siem Reap. Kulen Mountain and Beng Mealea were both beautiful. Although it's currently the dry season for Tonlé Sap Lake, I still think it's very much worth seeing to observe how people live there; it will give you better insights into the meaning of life. All in all, it was a perfect trip! 🥺🤲
Really nice experience! Every one should try this. My guide Mony and my driver Sothea are really helpful and professional. Both Banteay Srei and Beng Mealea are great palace to visit. And Kulen Mountain view is also amazing. Also remember to bring swimwear if you'd like to have fun in the pond and waterfall. Thanks again for all the service and nice picnic in this trip.
Highly highly recommend this tour, our tour guide August and driver Ta were both INCREDIBLE. August has a history and tourism background so he was able to share amazing stories. I was worried the tour would be too long and hot but it was the perfect length and pace for our group. The lunch was my favorite; we got to nap on a nice bamboo carpet to regain energy for the last part of the tour which was an incredible temple that inspired Angkor Wat!
amazing experience with this trip, especially the guide Mr. Kim ( very friendly and caring guide ) along with the safe driver Mr Sothea. the entire experience was like a fairy tale for us. we were delayed by few minutes but they managed to pick us up by coming back after picking others. th vegetarian food at Kulen Mountain was sumptuous and very delicious. we were well fed with snacks and water and the tour was align with other nationalities that include A German, Polish and Japanese family. overall we wish to recommend everyone to go for this trip. i booked it via the Klook app and Klook seems to have the right companies in their network who know the business well. very mesmerising and full of memories for us ❤️❤️
Good to know
- All admission fees are not included. If you have a valid Angkor pass, you can use it to visit the Beng Mealea temple. Otherwise, you will need to purchase a separate Angkor pass for US$10 per person.
- We recommend bringing towels if you want to cool down at the waterfall of Phnom Kulen Mountain
- There is no hiking at all at Kulen Mountain, but there is some walking between the attractions. You will be transported by minivan or bus from one spot to another.
- There is a vegetarian option like fried rice vegetable with eggs, seasonal fruits and fried spring rolls, but no vegan
