Located in the center of Guilin, at the confluence of the Li River and the Peach Blossom River, the Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area is named for its resemblance to a giant elephant stretching its trunk and heartily drinking the sweet spring water of the Li River. Shu Shu, an official of the Ministry of Public Works in the Qing Dynasty, wrote in “The Elephant Hill Record”: “The wonder of western Guangdong lies in its mountains, the wonder of the mountains in western Guangdong lies in its stones, and the Elephant Hill facing the provincial capital is the most wonderful of all.” Elephant Trunk Hill captivates visitors with its lifelike image and is a typical representation of Guilin’s landscape. In 1995, it was designated as the emblem of Guilin. In 2014, during CCTV’s Chinese New Year Gala for the Year of the Horse, the Hungarian Attraction dance troupe showcased Elephant Trunk Hill in their creative dance “Symbol China.” The main attractions in the scenic area include: Elephant Trunk Hill and Water Moon Cave, Puxian Pagoda, Sanhua Wine Cellar, Love Island, and the Yunfeng Temple Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Exhibition Hall.

[Real-Name Reservation with Time Slots] Since Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area became free of charge, it has been favored by all parties, and the number of tourists has surged. In order to improve tourists’ travel experience and comfort, and to effectively manage the flow of people and business order in the scenic area, Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area will implement a trial real-name limited reservation and time-slot entry system from March 1, 2024. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows: I. Scenic Area Operating Hours: 07:00-21:30 (last entry at 21:00) II. Visitor Flow Control: The scenic area implements staggered peak hours, reservation, limited flow, and real-name measures. The daily limit is 35,000 visitors, including a daily limit of 25,000 individual visitors and a daily limit of 10,000 group visitors. III. Reservation Time Slot Division: Online reservations are divided into three time slots. The specific time slot divisions are as follows: Time Slot 1: 07:00-12:30 Time Slot 2: 12:30-17:30 Time Slot 3: 17:30-21:00 IV. Reservation Method: The scenic area implements real-name reservation with time slots. Tourists can make reservations in advance through the scenic area’s WeChat official account and other third-party platforms, or they can enter the park by scanning the QR code at the scenic area’s ticket gate for on-site reservations. When making a reservation, please select an appropriate time slot and ensure that you fill in your personal identity information correctly. Each mobile phone number is limited to three free tickets. V. Scenic Area Entrances and Exits: Gate 1 is the entrance and exit (opening hours 07:00-18:00), Gate 2 is only the exit (opening hours 07:00-21:30), and Gate 3 is only the entrance (opening hours 07:00-21:00); during the Spring Festival, May Day, and National Day Golden Week, the scenic area will increase the Gate 2 entrance depending on the flow of people (please pay attention to the scenic area’s official account for specific information). VI. Important Tips:

1. Please make a reservation for free tickets in advance and enter the scenic area in strict accordance with the reservation time. In case of force majeure factors, such as severe weather, large-scale events in the scenic area, etc., the scenic area will announce temporary line control or scenic area closure measures in advance. Please understand and arrange your itinerary reasonably;
