Reviews
We signed up for English tour but the company told us it’s not available so we changed to Spanish tour, but the company and our tour guide are being helpful and thoughtful, so we end up having a good trip. The timing control on each spot is quiet enough and smooth, we had great free explore time for the lake and the church. Definitely recommended.
The national park has magnificent scenery and is an absolute must-see! The tour guide Inez explains clearly and the driver David has excellent driving skills. He can still drive safely and stably on the winding and foggy mountain roads. The tour bus is also comfortable.
It’s really troublesome to go on this trip alone. It’s much more convenient to go with a group. The tour guide and driver are very professional and worth it.
The English group tour wasn't full, so they switched us to a Spanish group tour. The tour guide was quite professional, and the bus was comfortable. However, I felt that the time spent at each location was sufficient but not generous, especially at the lake where we could have spent more time (it would be great to explore the area on our own for a day!).
Although I booked a tour departing from Oviedo, it turned out to be a tour that picked up guests from Gijón and another location as well. They gave us plenty of time at the first stop. The problem was the second stop. We were given only about 35-40 minutes for the Basilica and the Cave Chapel, including time to use the restroom, which was barely enough to snap a few photos. There was no time to even sit down for a moment at either chapel. For the third stop, Cangas de Onís, we were given over 2 hours and 30 minutes for lunch. The fourth stop, which wasn't listed on the Klook itinerary, was a visit to a lake in a village near Gijón, lasting about 30-40 minutes. It wasn't due to a lack of time overall, so I couldn't understand why we spent time on an unlisted stop but weren't given even an hour at important locations. I was very disappointed that the time at the chapels was so short. It would be helpful if Klook provided approximate durations for each stop instead of vague itineraries when choosing a product. I'm not sure if this tour is at the discretion of the guide or if it's a standard tour from Buendia Travel. For those planning to see Santa Cueva and the Basilica, please note that the schedule is very tight.
