What To Expect

Curious about the state of the natural world 130 million years before? Get a glimpse of the past and immerse yourself in one of the oldest and most protected nature reserves in the world, the Royal Belum State Park. Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the reserve is home to most exotic flora and fauna. This day tour begins with a meet up with your personal nature guide at the Pulau Banding Public Jetty. The only way into the park is by cruising along the Temenggor Lake, the second largest man-made lake in Peninsular Malaysia. See specks of small islands, mountain peaks, and hills while cruising. Upon arriving at the park, enter the rainforest and get lucky by spotting the Rafflesia flower, the largest flower in the world! Follow the elephants’ trail at the Sungai Papa salt lick area where various animal species obtain their salt nutrients. Continue the excursion by dropping by Kampung Aman Dama and visiting an Orang Asli village, home to the oldest inhabitants of Peninsular Malaysia. Meet the aboriginal people and choose to give out donations and gifts. Your next stop will bring you to the Air Tejun waterfall where you can bathe and relax after a day of trekking. Along with this adventure, get the chance to see rare and endangered species such as Malaysian sun bears, Sumatran rhinoceroses, great Indian hornbills, and the white-handed gibbon. Explore geological relics and journey to the Crowning Glory of Peninsular Malaysia.
