On September 11, 2001, 36 planes carrying thousands of passengers were forced to land in a small Canadian town on an island in the North Atlantic Ocean. The town, Gander in Newfoundland has a population of 10,000 welcomed these 7,600 stranded passengers from around the world, with open arms, into their homes. Their simple hospitality to these unexpected house guests drew worldwide accolades which inspired broadway writers Irene Sankoff and David Hein to create this award-winning Broadway musical, Come From Away. It is an inspiring true story of hospitality, culture clashes, language barriers that eventually turned into friendship and trust which gave this town a global recognition. Don't miss to watch this Broadway musical that manages to give a joyful spin during the darkest time of New York, the US, and the rest of the world.
