Reviews
I thought this was a 5-day, 4-night group tour, but it turned out the local Peruvian agent just pieced together different tours for you each day. First, regarding Machu Picchu, the agent told us two days before departure that they hadn't bought tickets, so they changed our itinerary and told us to wait in line to buy tickets the next day. When we got to Aguas Calientes, the local guide's only solution was for everyone to pay an extra USD 50. We had to pay it to complete the itinerary as scheduled. After negotiating with the agent, they only agreed to pay half the amount. Then, regarding Rainbow Mountain, the itinerary said we'd depart at 6:30 AM and there would be ATVs, but when we asked the agent, they said we had to depart at 4:30 AM. If we wanted to depart later, we'd have to pay an extra 250 Soles per person (including ATV). I'm not sure if the agent is the problem or if it's a problem with what Klook agreed to. Lastly, the accommodation they arranged was a two-star hotel, like something out of my student days 30 years ago. The facilities were old, the environment was noisy, and I couldn't sleep well. In conclusion: This is a group tour that's not worth participating in. I recommend joining local one-day or two-day tours on your own and booking your own accommodation in advance. It will definitely be cheaper and higher quality than this tour, and you won't have to get angry.
This tour is a tourist trap. Beware. The itinerary does not line up with what was provided. There are almost no communication from the operator, while the guide selected for Machu Pichu was really good. The hotels provided at Machu Picchu was awful - loud, damp, dirty and no shampoo, soap or toilet paper provided. It is a complete ripe off.
