- Each valid ID is limited to one purchase per usage date.
- The exhibition hall on the first floor of Gulou is closed every Monday, except for legal holidays.
- Half-price tickets must be purchased at the window with a valid ID (Half-price discount applies to: Seniors over 60 years old, active duty officers, active duty non-commissioned officers, active duty civilian personnel, and college students over 18 years old, excluding adult education and graduate students.)
- Free tickets require a valid personal ID for exchange at the window (Free admission for: Minors under 18 years of age in China, active duty soldiers, and people with disabilities.)
- Minors under 1.3 meters in height do not need to exchange tickets. The building in the scenic area is tall and steep, and minors must be accompanied by their parents to climb the building.
- The stairs in the Bell and Drum Towers are steep. To ensure the safety of tourists, minors, people with disabilities, etc., must be accompanied when climbing the stairs.
- Tourists purchasing discount tickets need to present their ID at the scenic area window to buy tickets.
- Please cooperate with security checks. Smoking is prohibited inside the scenic area. It is forbidden to carry flammable, explosive, or other prohibited items.

The Bell and Drum Towers are located at the northern end of Beijing's north-south central axis. As the time-telling center of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, they are one of the iconic buildings of the ancient capital of Beijing and have a long history. The Bell and Drum Towers include two buildings, the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. The two buildings are placed one behind the other, with a majestic and magnificent momentum.
The Bell and Drum Towers in ancient China originated in the Han Dynasty. According to historical records, there was already a system of "drumming in the morning to urge people to get up, and ringing the bell at night to urge people to rest" in the Han Dynasty. The Bell and Drum Towers in Beijing were first built in the Yuan Dynasty. In the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, as the time-telling center at that time, the Drum Tower was equipped with drums, and the Bell Tower was equipped with bells.
