Hanbok Rental Experience in Seoul by Studio KJD

My husband and I had a great experience at Studio KJD in Seoul! We booked through Klook, and everything was smooth from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and kind, the service was fast and efficient, and we absolutely loved the hanbok we wore. Highly recommend!

The hanbok herr is so beautiful! For the price we paid at Klook, everything is included. The hair accessories like the flowers, pearl ornaments & Daenggi ribbon no extra charges. Traditional shoes, bag & Norigae accessories included too. We just have to pay extra 10,000krw for the skirt organza layer which looks so beautiful but is optional. I love the traditional layered inner skirt which make the hanbok look so nice puffy instead of the can can type. There is locker for us to put our clothing & stuff. Staff is friendly & speak fluent English. Overall the whole process took about 1 hour because we took some time in choosing the beautiful bag & Norigae 😁

We had a positive experience renting hanboks from Studio KJD! The quality of the hanboks are high and the staff there help you pick out the colours for you if need some assistance. You were also able to choose between 4 hairstyles and a couple accessories.

Studio KJD offers high-quality hanboks using seokchima instead of wires, giving a more authentic and premium look. The staff are friendly, speak good English, and are helpful with styling and color choices, with a quick and efficient dressing process (about 25 minutes). However, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the palace (which can be cold in March), sizing options may be limited for certain designs, and the shop is quite small so going earlier is recommended for more choices and space.

I searched online and read about many Korean clothing experience stores. When I saw the reviews of this store, I immediately placed an order. Although the price is higher than other Korean clothing experience stores, I think it is worth it. The experience lasts for 4 hours. From clothing to hair, everything is done in a very careful way. Just tell the clerk the color you want and she will carefully help you choose the color that suits you. She will also carefully help you put it on layer by layer. Many local Koreans will also go here to experience it. What's more, Korean newlyweds will come here specifically to choose Korean traditional costumes for wedding photos or weddings. I really recommend that everyone who wants to experience Korean traditional costumes come here and try it. You will definitely not regret it!

I had a wonderful experience at a place I've always wanted to visit! Inside, it was a traditional Sokchima that gave a natural fullness instead of a wire pannier! I'm glad they also attached the binyeo I brought from Japan! I would love to use it again!

The studio is very easy to find. It's near Gyeongbokgung and within Bukchon Hanok village so you can explore the village after going to the palace. There are a lot of selection of Hanbok colors and the staff speak English so it's easy to communicate. I rented during Autumn and it was very cold but they didn't offer a jacket or something tho so bring one incase it's too cold to walk in just Hanbok
