Our guide Dani was very professional, he gave us lots of information about the sites and gave us all the health and safety instructions. The Arouca 516 footbridge was fun very bouncy, you can see the beautiful water fall and river underneath. The boat ride in Aveiro was like in little Venice. We feel safe and enjoyed all the activities. The lunch was yummy plenty of food and drinks, we have wine and water; we have local starter, main course, desert and coffee, enough for everyone. Highly recommended.
I really like the 516 arouca bridge. The cold and fresh air in the high-altitude mountains makes it feel like walking on the Hehuan River Trail. There are very few tourists. The Paiwa Plank Road is very relaxing and comfortable. I don’t feel tired after walking for a long time~~ I also met many solo travelers from various places on this day There are girls, some from Michigan, some from the Philippines, and some from Kenya. They are all traveling alone and have been to many places. Everyone had a great time chatting while climbing mountains 😃 There are river cruises in Aveiro It’s a combination of Venice and a western cowboy town. Although it’s a little far away from Porto, it’s really worth a visit! ! We all enjoyed this day of hiking in the mountains and going to the sea very much💕
I was a bit worried about going alone before departure, but I really wanted to experience the 516 Suspension Bridge, so I signed up anyway. I was very lucky to meet a fantastic tour guide, Danny! 👍 He not only provided detailed information about the attractions along the way but also kept us laughing, which made me feel comfortable chatting with everyone despite my broken English. The other group members were also very friendly. The tour included a delicious risotto and fish for lunch. Visiting several attractions in one day made for a truly fulfilling and highly recommended itinerary! Thanks to the travel agency and Danny for helping me create such wonderful memories.
Excellent day trip for the nature lovers. special thanks to Jay of Ennetour, who provided clear instructions and ensured the safety of the tour members.
The itinerary was arranged just right. We went to the suspension bridge in the morning and walked there for about 10 minutes. It was a very special experience. Afterwards, it takes about an hour to walk on the sidewalk. It is not difficult, but it is recommended to wear sports shoes. The scenery inside is also good. The free lunch and delicious desserts will be arranged by the tour guide. In the afternoon, we will take a cruise to Aveiro. There will be a crew guide to introduce Aveiro and free time for shopping. I recommend this itinerary because you can save money on arranging your own transportation and have a tour guide to guide you. It is a good itinerary.
Our tour guide and driver, Joao Costa, was humorous, attentive, a skilled driver, and incredibly knowledgeable. On the way from the city to the suspension bridge, he provided information about architecture, geography, history, city stories, settlements, dining, plants, culture, and current events, like a walking encyclopedia. Upon arriving at the suspension bridge and boardwalk, the pre-activity safety briefing was thorough and easy to understand. He was also attentive and proactively looked after the team members. In January, the suspension bridge and boardwalk experience seasonal weather changes, so non-slip shoes, umbrellas, raincoats, sunglasses, sun hats, and sunscreen are important keys to a comfortable and smooth walking experience. Lunch was at a well-known local traditional family-style restaurant. In addition to the meal and wine, and traditional desserts, Costa also let us experience an interesting cultural element—espresso after the meal wine, which was very interesting! Aveiro, the Venice of Portugal, has a relaxed canal atmosphere and exquisite architecture. Strolling or taking a Moliceiros boat tour are both great experiences.
The itinerary was well arranged. Because the road was very small, we could only use a seven-seater minibus. The location was very comfortable. The tour guide Tomas was very nice. The lunch arrangement was delicious. It was a local small restaurant, but it was very unique. It was a pity that the weather was not good. It’s good, and there was a forest fire in Portugal two weeks ago that destroyed part of the trail, so there is no way to visit part of the trail, but the suspension bridge is amazing and the scenery is great.
Leaving the busy tourist area and entering the countryside, the suspension bridge trail takes about an hour and a half and is not difficult to walk. The transportation is well arranged, including a lunch. In addition, you can visit Aveiro, take a cruise and have some free time.
I hope more consideration can be given, as the long walking time is very physically demanding. I hope the attractions can be adjusted, as the value for money is quite average.
Enjoyed the tour and the lunch provided was delicious. The guide Joao Costa was very helpful and shared useful information about Portugal in general. Highly recommended.
