What to expect
Watching the Kecak Dance Show at Melasti Beach offers a captivating and authentic cultural experience in one of Bali’s most scenic coastal settings. The performance takes place on a limestone cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, with the show beginning as the sun sets and the sky turns into stunning shades of orange, pink, and gold. You’ll see dozens of male performers seated in a circle, chanting rhythmic “cak cak cak” sounds without any musical instruments, creating a hypnotic atmosphere that is unique to the Balinese Kecak tradition.
The performance tells the classic Ramayana story of Rama, Sita, Hanuman, and Ravana, presented through expressive movements, vocal rhythms, and dramatic choreography. Compared to Uluwatu, the Kecak Dance at Melasti Beach offers a more relaxed and spacious environment, giving you better visibility and more comfort during the show.

amazing performance deep rooted into culture. ticketing was quite easy and we could avoid the whole rush by having online booking. but since it’s an open seating need to be there atleast 45 minutes before to get best view closer to artists
it was a terrific performance. definitely recommend for any first time visitors even if you are not into art show.
Totally worth it! Beautiful sunset, great performance, and a unique Balinese cultural experience. The energy from all the dancers was incredible. A must-see when visiting Bali!
Worth the visit! Tickets do not include admission to Melasti Beach (IDR10,000 per pax). It’s cheaper to purchase tickets on Klook than to buy physical tickets. Show lasted for about an hour.
excellent !! must watch, we decided to go to melasti beach and the breeze and the beach view was great.
Very fun and interesting experience that allowed us to see a very unique part of Balinese culture!
The show was a little under an hour, but it was enjoyable. It was a bit different from the Kecak dance at Tanah Lot, which made it even more fun. Since I was staying in Nusa Dua, there was no traffic, and I got back to my hotel quickly. I arrived early and was able to get a front-row seat, which was really great. By the time it started, it was completely full, and some people couldn't find seats! It's worth waiting in the heat for, and since it's not a temple, there aren't many restrictions, making it a relaxed experience. I also made a reservation, which made everything smooth and was a good value. I definitely want to go again next time.
please buy from klook instead of buying walk in. in klook the price much cheaper, easy to redeem the wristbands, please come early if u are instagramable peolple because the beach is so nice. the performance great. i have new experience
We were so happy to have chosen Melasti Kecak! No lines, lots of seating space. Not crowded. No headache and proved a much better experience than Uluwatu. The dance was amazing and a great cultural experience. The beach is beautiful too, Glad to have found this!
This was my first time attending an Indonesian magical dance ritual in Bali. It was very well organized. The performance itself starts promptly at 6 p.m., and you can get good seats at 5 p.m. We caught the sunset, and it was very beautiful. The restroom was inside.
