Reviews
I like the way it is done told as a story. the use of visual and even LEGO figurines made the tour very interesting. Roy was very engaging
Mike’s Revolutionary Story tour is amazing. Where do I start? First of all, the fun and entertainment aspect of the tour is there—Mike’s very enthusiastic so the whole time we were engaged and entertained (and it was a cold day!) But the thing is there’s fantastic substance to this tour—it’s not just style. This is truly a STORY, and a story that has meaning we can all connect to. So the tour doesn’t just follow the Freedom Trail but goes from spot to spot in an intentional and powerful way. As one of my tour mates said during the experience, “we’re literally walking the steps of the American Revolution.” Mike built in all the important historical figures of the Revolutionary movement in Boston and really made these “characters” active parts of the story unfolding before our eyes. I felt like I was watching Bob Ross turn a palette of paints into a beautiful painting—there were elements Mike introduced early on that just kept coming to life with each new step and stop on the tour. By the end, the whole picture was clear. Something for everyone, too—military history, political, social, economic—you name it. All the while we were learning about Boston as a modern city too. I must mention that I, too, work in the history business and give tours in other locations. I can speak from first-hand experience: this is REALLY good. Thanks, Mike, for a fulfilling experience!
It might be daunting because it's in English, but it's a tour really worth experiencing. Highly recommend it. We toured with a Boston area history teacher and had such a fun time.
Knowledgable and entertaining tour. Well done to Mike and his team.
