What To Expect

Learn more about the history of the conflict between North and South Korea in this educational tour to the popular Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Go deep into the DMZ, just a few miles from North Korean territory, to discover more about Korea's turbulent past. Despite its name, the DMZ is the area between two of the most heavily armed frontiers on earth. This no man's land is remarkably safe for tourists (and even world leaders) to visit, but is only accessible via group tours. Your guide will relate the fascinating history surrounding the area as you visit historical sites: war relics at Imjingak Park, the Freedom Bridge, across which almost 13,000 Korean POWs walked to freedom, the Third Infiltration Tunnel (an invasion route built beneath the border), the DMZ exhibition theater, and views of North Korea from atop the Dora Observatory. During lunch time, enjoy a classic bulgogi dish to fill your bellies.

The tour was excellent! The guide, jinny, explained the history of dmz and Korean War. Time given at each location is sufficient..

Nice experience. It will be good if there is a meeting point at myeongdong.

Learned a lot from this tour about south and north korea

Eye opening experience. There were some paperwork issues causing a delay thus resulting in a rather rushed pace to make up for time. Decent alternative to Panmunjom tour if it’s unavailable.

Tip, enter only the first 100 meters of the tunnel then go back. The hard climb back is not worth the teeny weeny view at the end of the tunnel, nothing so special about the sight fhe concrete wall. Our tour guide Shin was fab especially in assisting with souvenir shopping. Pleasantly surprised with the lunch, both bulgogi and bimbimbap were tasty.

the buffet lunch was good. the guide was both funny and witty though it would take a little bit of context clues to understand what she was saying. other than that, it was nice knowing South Korea's history during its war.

Our guide En Soong was very informative and we learnt a lot of interesting facts about the Korean War and the ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship of the two Korea. Pace is just nice and lunch was yummy.

I got to say our tour guide soojin was great. I think overall the whole experience was well thought out and great. It’s wasnt overwhelming and provided sufficient info to satisfy us. I would recommend this package to anyone who wants to visit the DMZ
