The driver is very nice and the tour is good as well. However the weather wasn't that good and started to rain right after we got to the volcano.... so only stayed 5 minutes on the top of the mountain which is quite a pity. But the experience riding the horse in the mountain path is quite interesting.

What To Expect

Itching for an adventure? Look no further and book this private day tour of Tagaytay and Taal Volcano! Hike your way up to 311 meters above sea level and discover Taal Volcano’s magnificent crater. Lacking experience? No problem! A local English speaking tour coordinator will act as your guide throughout the rocky trek, making sure that you reach the top safely and with lots of pictures! Make sure to wear hiking shoes or sandals as the trail goes steep on the way to the first stop. You can also ride a horse, provided by the operator. 15 minutes into the hike, you’ll reach the first resting camp, where the panoramic view of Mt. Tabaro and Taal Lake will take your breath away. You won’t notice the three-kilometer walk walk on the way to the second stop, simply because of the magnificent display of nature right in front of you. Once you reach the second stop, it will be soft, flat land for the next two kilometers. Push through the last stretch of the hike and emerge from the fog and the dust and into a plateau-like area overlooking the lake. Ascend further and reach Taal Volcano’s viewing deck, where you can see the inside of the volcano and the surrounding lake. Be overwhelmed once you realize that you’re actually standing on its two-kilometer wide crater, which is hundreds of feet from the edge of its mouth! Witness the caldera, a huge basin of dark green water dotted by a single rock outcrop of an island dubbed as the Vulcan Point. Experience all of these with an additional side trip to Tagaytay, a mountain top city filled with various attractions. Overwhelm your senses with this exciting trip to the Philippines’ top tourist spots!

The whole experience was a good one! We have a private driver who picked us up at Mall of Asia at 9am sharp. His name is Woody. Probably the best few hours ride of laughter and jokes. :) It was about 2 hrs drive to Tagaytay from Pasay and we were given an option to drop by Starbucks for a view of the volcano. We then continued our journey for about 20mins to reach the resort and that's where Jacky welcomed us with a quick introduction of the hike journey. We were provided with two healthy horses, (aside from the public trails which we heard some were abusing the ponies for much bigger sized tourists) and with two local guides. The trails looked simple and easy to navigate on your own. Takes about an hour plus to the peak. We had the horse ride up but decided to take the trail down on our own. It was longer, but we felt there wasn't a need for the horses. :) There's a commitment of "tipping" to the guides at the end of the hike (100piso each guide) and there was also an official photo taken with the horse before we started the journey. It was rather pricy at 350piso but we took it anyway as it was memorable. So for those who wanted a memory from the tour, do bring some extra cash to support the locals. :) As for the view, can't explain how beautiful it was. To discover that it is an island with a lake within a lake; is kinda kind blowing. The only downside was that the guides did not tell or show us which trails to continue to the peak so me and my girl friend had to navigate on our own from the top. Nevertheless, it is spectacular view, worth every sweat poured. Also, do note that there are also some "stops" where the locals were pretty persistent in asking you to "buy drinks" for your guide. A bottle of soft drink costs 50 piso, so again, this is optional but required some extra cash with you throughout. We were told that the horse rides are subject to our approval to the guides to hitch up a ride but one of our guides decided to jump on the horse without us saying so. It kinda startled the horse and us so it wasn't something we looked forward to. We ended the hike with a scrumptious Korean style lunch, from appetisers to soup and fruits. It was flavourful and nicely set in a room with fan and air conditioner. Something we all need after a 3-hr hike! Jacky was there around to check on us and he's really friendly and even proposed to have Malaysia flag added to his "Wall of Fame" ! We reached back to MOA about 5pm, just in time to catch the sunset from the bay. :)

Great Tour! We booked a private tour for me and my friend thru klook apps. The arrangement was perfect. Friendly local speaking english driver with nice big car. Very comfortable smooth drive. We started the ride early as both of us, we and the driver, came about 30 mnts early from meeting hour. No traffic on the way to Tagaytay from Manila, about 1.5 hrs. From Talisay to Taal Volcano Crater crossed Taal lake by boat about 15 mnts with beautiful sight. Morning waves were calm. Safety is number one, they provide and asked us to wear life jacket before going into the boat. The tour we booked is a Korean tour provider. They welcomed us friendly and have clear explanations how to hike etc and gave anti mosquitoes lotion. Beautiful scenery from Top of the crater. Gorgeous view. Prepare for sunblock otherwise you will get sunburns. We had nice and sumptuous Korean lunch back from hiking. Finished lunch, immediately go back to Talisay took the same boat. Driver took us to one of Starbucks store in Tagaytay to enjoy sipping coffee with Taal lake view but too bad it was too crowded so we decided to back to Manila but stopped by to buy Buko pie before leaving Tagaytay. Thanks for the nice ride and great tour.

Excellent. Excellence in both attractions, as well as tour owners. Taal volcano beautiful, extremely beautiful, make us sunny team away worthy (we go on the storm), the picture is not beautiful, because the photograph taken by Canon is over 3MB should be up photos with iPad . Owner Vina Tour is very friendly, come to pick us up and guide very horse riding, as well as light reminders should tip for two horses for us, and above all serve the Vietnamese music on Lunch when we know from VN. Negative: Not eat at the Creators resort, but where we go to the train, good food though a bit simple, eat full roof. There are 2 people from Starbucks SM Mall.

I was surprised that the whole group was only two of us, but the travel company is still very responsible for the delegation, thank you very much. I feel very straightforward about the whole journey. After all, this is a very special geographical landscape, especially when you climb the top of the mountain, the condescending and magnificent scenery is absolutely unforgettable.

About Starbucks in SM Mall, but there are two Starbucks. At the beginning, I traveled to the middle of Starbucks with my travel companions. As a result, the local driver was in front of Starbucks. We once thought that we missed the car. As a result, the local driver was very happy. In 45 minutes, the volcano scenery is very beautiful. The lakes and lakes are very impressive. The local horses are very kind and will not collect money like the blog, but the Korean holiday village owner said that according to the customs and customs, Ma Yi hundred peso tip, because it is very cheap, I think it is acceptable, there is a commemorative photo charging 200 peso does not buy it does not matter, everyone is still very smiling, I am very satisfied with the journey, the return driver brother also carries us Going to the next attraction we have to go to, the people are too good.

It is a good idea to take a photo from a good place to see the volcano. It is kind of you. The man who gives you the boat is also the coconut flavor in the boat. The most favorite thing for children is the horse ride to the top of the mountain. It is a bit of an uphill slope because it is a bit of a hurried downhill. I went to the course where the battle trip and sandrabuk came out .. It was good that the mountain top was still quiet. The walk down the road is a bit steep, and the young daughters are a little scared. Arriving at 9 o'clock and 4 o'clock in Manila ... Please come to the nearest place not to be near Szczek Bucks. Overall, all the staff are friendly. I was worried because the price was a bit expensive. It seems that more people will use it.

A special experience, but there was a writing in the original itinerary to rest in Daya Starbucks, but the driver did not know that there was a trip because the route was not smooth, so he did not go.

The driver from SM MALL to Tagayta finally received a 200PESO toll. This is an extra charge not mentioned in the itinerary. After selling it, there is a bottle of soda bottle 50PESO. Photograph: 350PESO Overall, it feels good. The horse is also very polite. The meal was asked before going up the hill to eat locally. We eat in the local area is very simple but it is still good. We did not go back to Tagaytay and eat Korean barbecue.
