Reviews
First and foremost, I highly recommend this tour. At the beginning, during pickup, the guide couldn't find us due to an inaccurate accommodation address. Even though he searched for us for nearly an hour under the hot sun, he wasn't angry at all. Instead, he quickly rearranged the itinerary and had a driver pick us up. I'm truly grateful to him. The pickup vehicle was an air-conditioned 11-seater van, which was very comfortable. The elephant sanctuary isn't very large, but it has reasonably clean restrooms. It's worth noting that you can feel the genuine love the conservationists and guide have for the elephants. There are no commercial performances or rides, only interactive activities like feeding, showering, and making rice balls with the elephants. There's also plenty of time to interact and take photos with them. The guide is very knowledgeable about elephant ecology and will explain everything in detail, guiding us through our interactions with the elephants. For lunch, there was delicious Northern Thai curry noodles, fried rice, fruit, and more – that fried rice was truly amazing! The ziplining part was also a lot of fun. The instructors were professional and humorous, ensuring everyone's safety. They also took photos and videos for us during the activity. There are about ten different ziplines to try, with varying distances, heights, and types, so you won't get bored. It was genuinely enjoyable! Finally, I want to thank the guide again. He was truly dedicated, genuinely loves elephants, and was very friendly to the tourists. All in all, I highly recommend this tour!
This is an ethical elephant camp. Due to the weather, we weren’t able to proceed with the rafting activity but instead made natural probiotics for the elephants. We had fun feeding sugar cane to the rescued Asian elephants!!
Highly recommended and will share with friends. It is relaxing and comfortable to play, and your body will not get dirty. 1) It is a simple half-day tour, so you don't have to get up too early. 2) You will be picked up by a minibus, so the road will not be too bumpy (other platforms will use a songthaew for pick-up, which is stuffy without air conditioning) 3) The park really takes care of the elephants and is friendly to them, without any slapping. | Disadvantages | No costumes, no vitamin balls, no bathing for the elephants | Pick-up | Will pick up at the hotel at a fixed point, no need to gather at a specific location | Itinerary | Will rest at the gas station for 10 minutes → Arrive at the camp and feed five elephants → Walk in the jungle with the elephants → Watch the elephants bathe → Bamboo rafting → Simple lunch (fried rice/fried rice noodles/fruits/ice water) → Return | Tour guide | Fluent English and simple Chinese. Friendly and always answering questions | Suggestions | 1) Wear shoes that are not afraid of getting dirty 2) Bring an extra set of clothes: Bamboo rafting will definitely get your body wet (the tour guide will provide plastic bags) 3) Mosquito repellent: there may be mosquitoes when walking in the jungle 4) Waterproof case for your phone: you can take as many photos as you want while rafting
This time I chose the elephant + zipline itinerary, and it was a great value! The van transfer is comfortable, and there is a rest stop in the middle of the way to buy breakfast. The elephant itinerary includes feeding, walking with the elephants, bathing the elephants, etc. The height of the zip line is up to 20 meters, with a total of 5-7 stations. There are staff in the middle to help take photos or videos. The equipment itself is safe, but climbing the stairs in the tree feels a bit dangerous. The included lunch is very simple and the whole trip was great!
Our elephant sanctuary experience was superb! It was such a nice and relaxing day — feeding, caring for, and walking with the elephants made us feel like we were in a different dimension. The best part was our tour guide, Sir Taiga. He was very approachable, entertaining, and excellent at his job — there was never a dull moment with him! Our driver was also amazing — very accommodating, friendly, and made sure we were safe throughout the trip. Overall, both of them were fantastic, and we truly had an unforgettable experience.
Had a great experience with my family during this trip. We fed the elephants, walked with them through the jungle then down to the river. We had a lot of fun on the raft. Make sure to bring a change of clothes as you will get soaked wet. Our tour guide, John was very friendly and gave us lots of information regarding the elephants.
the staff the host the food was amazing the random puppy I found on site and how nice the elephants were even the one naughty one and feeding them was just me facing my fear I would definitely do it all over again with more confidence thank you guys I loved making the medicine balls too I didn’t know it was included so it was a pleasant surprise I love you all deeply thank you for the memory
really lovely day, we got very close with the elephants and they seem really happy and well cared for. the bamboo rafting was awesome too, but we warned you get wet! loved the day.
one of the best experiences we've ever had!! From pick up to drop off, Tono (our tour guide) was amazing. Friendly and interactive. He took such good photos of us and these are memories we will cherish forever. I asked him if he had taken a photography course because they were really good haha. I implore everyone to try this out. it was a 100/10 experience for us. Even as a plus size person, this was very doable 💯
Our tour guide was very thoughtful and friendly. He took us to see the elephants living freely in the jungle environment they had created. We fed them and took them to bathe in the stream. It was like a dream. When the elephants were happy, we were happy too! The zipline experience that followed was also very cool. We flew over the forests and sugarcane fields of Chiang Mai, feeling the cool breeze and enjoying the thrill of the high-speed zipline. It was really fun!
