How to get to Khao Yai

Best time to visit Khao Yai

Khao Yai is favoured by many travellers because it tends to be a few degrees cooler than Bangkok. It’s generally filled with many attractions and things to do all year round but some seasonal attractions tend to attract more visitors.
The ‘winter’ season is perhaps the most popular time when you’ll find the clear skies and cool weather between the months of November to February. During the day, it’s a comfortable mid-20 degrees Celsius and at night, the temperature can drop to 10 degrees.
Day One Highlights
Primo Piazza
Channel your inner Snow White and get acquainted with furry animals at Primo Piazza!

If you thought wine was only produced in cold European countries, think again! PB Valley Estate is the largest vineyard in Khao Yai and the birthplace of the Khao Yai wine region!
Wine and dine at this rare Thai vineyard where you can also join their popular wine tasting session. As you enjoy your Italian meal, you can sample a range of wine from whites to rose and reds.
For the non-drinkers, don’t worry, you won’t feel left out! Instead of the wine, you can opt to try a glass of their pure Shiraz grape juice.

The Bloom
The Bloom is home to a multitude of different flora and fauna that bloom throughout the year so you won’t have to worry about when you arrive in Khao Yai! This is the perfect alternative to the Saraburi Sunflower Fields or Jim Thompson Farm if you happen to visit when these parks are closed (Do take note that flower blooming periods are seasonal, so remember to do some research before heading to any flower field parks!).

Khao Yai National Park
The UNESCO world heritage Khao Yai National Park with its refreshing scenic landscapes is a great breakaway from city life. The untouched jungles, waterfalls and mountain streams also make it ideal for spotting animals and exotic birds!

- Haew Narok Waterfall: Towering over us at a height of 150 meters, the Haew Narok Waterfall is Khao Yai National Park’s most impressive waterfall
- Pa Deo Die Cliff: Perfect vantage point for an incredible view of the surroundings
- Heaw Suwat Waterfall: If the 20-meter high Haew Suwat Waterfall looks familiar, you might have recognised from the jump scene in Leonardo DiCaprio's The Beach
- Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave: Witness a river of wrinkle-lipped bats flying overhead out of their caves as they go out hunting for food

Don’t be shocked when you get served because these delicious parcels are not like your regular pizza but rather like Mexican Quesadillas. Now, that’s what we call a meal for king (or queen)!

If you’re a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, relive the movie magic at the Hobbit House! Don on costumes from a time of the past and make believe as if you’re a hobbit living in one of these tiny little houses. The attention to detail on these features really amazed us!
Even if you’re not a fan of the movie, you’ll can choose to dress up as Elsa from Frozen or even Harry Potter!

Lunch at Ban Mai Chay Nam

As the name suggests, A Cup of Love is a great date spot for couples looking to get away from the hustle of the city. Overlooking large green fields, order a slice of cake and a cuppa and spend the afternoon overlooking the lawn.
