Everyone was super nice and helpful! Great location and the rooms were clean and perfect size for families

Our family of four loved having a two bedroom and two bathroom suite. With a washing machine/dryer in our room also! The hotel was quiet and the staff were helpful. The early evening happy hours with draft beer and sakes were a nice touch to come back to after a heavy day of sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and this property exceeded our expectations in every way. The layout was perfect for our group, with two separate bedrooms that provided plenty of privacy and two bathrooms that made getting ready and coming and going incredibly convenient. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the living room offered a warm, inviting space where we could relax, visit, and enjoy each other’s company. What truly set this property apart, however, was the outstanding level of hospitality. During our stay, we experienced a minor issue with the key card lock when the batteries in the door lock unexpectedly died. It took a couple of attempts to diagnose the problem, but it was ultimately resolved and did not significantly impact our visit. At checkout, we were deeply touched to receive a handwritten note apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking us for choosing to stay there. That personal gesture spoke volumes about how much the staff genuinely care about their guests. In a world where customer service is often impersonal, this thoughtful act left a lasting impression. Because of the comfortable accommodations and the exceptional care shown by the staff, I can confidently say I have found my place to stay in Kyoto. The next time I’m in the city—and every time after that—this will be my first choice.

This was an excellent hotel in a wonderful location. The only reason it got 4 stars is because the washer dryer combo would only wash and would not dry. We had picked the hotel with the expectation of doing laundry after our stay in Tokyo and we ended up being able to wash but not dry any of the clothes we had and had to hang them up all over the room to try to dry them. Otherwise, perfection. Lots of space for 5 adults, lovely coffee and sake/beer happy hour complimentary to guests (we don’t drink but it is a nice touch for those who might). Pristine on cleanliness.

Our family of 4 had an excellent stay here - highly recommend to anyone considering. Would definitely stay again!

Fabulous stay, very clean & spacious room, very comfy bed & very helpful staff

First of all, Mimaru staff is excellent and they require staff to pass both a Japanese and English proficiency test, which can be very helpful depending on what language you need to communicate in. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Kyoto location is very nice, in a quiet location, and is around the corner from an excellent Izakaya. And of course there’s a 7-11, Lawson and family Mart nearby. The lobby hosts a terrific coffee machine all day, and sake at happy hour. Our spacious room had two bedrooms and baths, and was extremely comfortable. Note this is more western style in that there is no in-room amenities bar, no onsen, or buffet/restaurant/breakfast on site. That said, depending on what you need, it is absolutely terrific, we enjoyed our stay in comfort. Laundry in room for convenience.

Perfect for families. Very toddler-friendly and the whole apartment/building was clean and well-designed. We especially loved having the in-unit laundry especially before heading out to our next destination!

Room was great for our family of five and within close walking distance to Nishiki market but also far enough away that it was very quiet.. We explored the market early one morning which was great. Host at the front desk made a great recommendation for a tonkatsu which we loved so much we visited twice during our stay!!
