Impossible to sleep due to deafening street noise I had a terrible stay here and got almost zero sleep. To be fair, the hotel room itself and the staff are not the problem—they were perfectly fine. The issue is entirely the hotel's location and a severe lack of soundproofing. Motorists were zooming past the hotel the entire night. Even though we were all the way up on the 4th floor, the walls did absolutely nothing to block the noise. The sound reverberated through the room so loudly that it felt like the traffic was right next to us. After driving all day, I desperately needed rest, but instead, I spent the entire night tossing and turning. Bottom line: If you don't care about sleeping at night, then this is the perfect place to go!! Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Joel our shuttle driver was amazing. Hats off to him! Food was not very good but other than that, everything was wonderful

This is a gorgeous hotel. My room was larger than expected with great closet space - excellent for a business trip. The bed was super comfy. Some noise from the street but earplugs took care of it. The staff at reception were so helpful and made great recommendations - they take pride in their hotel and city. I would definitely come back.

Great place

Strongly recommend! We have stayed at Americus multiple times. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, lots to do in the area, and the onsite restaurant is great!

The hotel is very nice, the staff was very professional and knowledgeable, next time I stay in Allentown I’m going to call the hotel directly to book a room. I will not go through hotel.com.

Carla the housekeeper kept a clean room, the front staff was friendly and helpful, the valet leaves something to be desired. They retrieved my car and parked it across the street and said you can cross the street to go get it...we had a cart full of bags so I said you are valet please bring it to this side of the street. Then when he gave me the car, he failed to give me my key fob. Luckily I realized it as we pulled away and we got our key fob. They need to train their valet employees.

Room was clean and excellent.

Old fashioned charme with wonderful staff and nice big rooms.

Great downtown location, with great cafes and restaurants within minutes walking. Clean large rooms with attentive staff in lobby. Grand hotel built in 1927, well renovated. Large windows with good city views.
